Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that David Yost will be joining the cast of Power Rangers Cosmic Fury as Billy Cranston, the original Blue Ranger.
David Yost was part of the original cast of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers when it debuted thirty years ago (bloody hell). He left in the middle of the fourth season (Power Rangers Zeo) in 1996, later saying that it was because of continued harassment over his sexual orientation. Yost reprised the role for Netflix’s 30th anniversary special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always and will be taking on a main role for Cosmic Fury.

Warner Bros. Discovery’s streaming app Max changed its name Tuesday, dropping the “HBO” from HBO Max when it merged with Discovery+. But as an eagle-eyed viewer discovered later in the day, it also changed how basic details about a film are listed. And movie fans are very displeased.
On Tuesday night, film commentator (and Twitter power user) John Frankensteiner shared a screengrab of the details section from the landing page for the film “Raging Bull,” as it currently appears on Max.
While the film’s principle actors are listed under “starring,” director Martin Scorsese, writers Paul Schrader and Mardik Martin, and producers Irwin Winkler and Robert Chartoff, are lumped together under a single listing: “Creators.” Included with them are Peter Savage, author of the book that inspired the film, and boxer Jake Lamotta whose life is depicted in it. Their individual roles are not differentiated.

The original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers return for the 30th anniversary of the American series on Netflix. While favorites like David Yost (Blue Ranger) and Walter Emmanuel Jones (Black Ranger) will return, so will the evilest villain. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once and Always will bring back the vile Rita Repulsa (Barbara Goodson), but her return is questionable based on how the character exited the franchise.

This Power Rangers Dino Fury interview contains spoilers for the second half of the second season.
Power Rangers Dino Fury ended on a bigger high than when it came in, which is saying something because Dino Fury was a huge fan favorite right from the get go. Over the last two years the series has earned wide approval and love from the Power Rangers fanbase and entering into these final episodes fans were eager to see if the show could stick the landing. It was able to do that and so much more.
Returning villains, huge twists, and of course a final scene that will keep fans talking for months if not years to come, were all highlights of this season. We spoke with Dino Fury executive producer Simon Bennett on the day the final episodes were released to the public (and before the Hasbro Pulsecon 2022 panel for Cosmic Fury) to discuss all that and,...

Power Rangers will celebrate its 30th season next year and it’s tackling this anniversary season with a true throwback to the past For most of its life, each new Power Rangers season would feature a completely new cast, story line, and a new adaption of a Japanese Super Sentai series. This somewhat changed starting in 2011 with Power Rangers Samurai where the traditional season was broken into two smaller seasons but it was still business as usual. The only seasons that carried over a large majority of their casts were the first five, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Power Rangers Turbo, and Power Rangers in Space.
However, for the first time since those seasons, Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury won’t be introducing a whole new cast. Instead, Cosmic Fury will feature the entire main cast from Power Rangers Dino Fury returning in their same roles. A video from Hasbro Pulse confirmed the news,...

Power Rangers Dino Fury has been a triumph for both the franchise and its longtime fans. Power Rangers on television has seemed to be in a holding pattern for a long time. Though there was quality to be found it never felt like it was living up to its potential. That all changed with the start of Dino Fury, a series which has brought back much of the magic that Power Rangers has been missing.
Characters have engaging arcs. Villains have depth. The wider Power Rangers universe is regularly acknowledged and utilized. The stories are fantastic and the recent drop of the first half of the second season on Netflix is the shows strongest yet. We sat down with Dino Fury executive producer Simon Bennett to discuss the big developments of the season, how the show was finally “let off the chain,” villain fashion sense, and so much more.

Warning: This article contains Power Rangers Dino Fury premiere spoilers.
For years Power Rangers basically had one continuity. Sure it was a little wonky and things didn’t quite all fit together but all the seasons basically took place in one universe.
Then Power Rangers Rpm happened.
At first it was assumed to be a series set far in the future but was confirmed in its team-up with Power Rangers Samurai that no, Rpm’s post apocalyptic world was its own continuity. Then Dino Charge ended with dinosaurs alive again so it was in its own universe. Ever since Power Rangers fans have wondered at the start of each season where that season could take place. Is it in the “Main” universe? It’s own universe? The Rpm universe? The Dino Charge universe? The Boom comics universe? One of the many, many offshoots?

This interview contains massive spoilers for the final episodes of Power Rangers Beast Morphers.
In 2009 Power Rangers Rpm ended with a shot of main villain Venjix trapped in one of the team’s morphers. It was an ominous cliffhanger to end the season on, one fans have hoped for years would get some kind of resolution. Well, over 10 years later, it finally happened. The last two episodes of Power Rangers Beast Morphers not only brought back Venjix but also revealed he was actually Evox, the Beast Morphers’ main nemesis, all along! Along the way we even got the return of Rpm mentor Dr. K and Col. Truman!
When most shows are wrapping up their seasons, the first thought isn’t, “hey, let’s resolve a cliffhanger from 10 years ago” It’s even harder when you’re a director coming in who’s never seen the season that cliffhanger was from.

The current season of Power Rangers isn’t done yet but fans are already looking to the future more so than usual. Why is that? It’s the 28th season of Power Rangers so it’s not an anniversary. The theme of the season is dinosaurs, which is a nice connection to the past, but not one that builds this much anticipation from hardcore fans.
The excitement actually comes from behind the scenes. Dino Fury has a new executive producer, Simon Bennett. Joining long time producer Chip Lynn, fans are eager to see what Bennett will bring to the table and how he may or may not change the formula of the long running franchise. Not only that but Bennett is shepherding the show as news of a new live-action movie, “non-kid” TV show, and animation are on the horizon. Will Dino Fury be a part of this new rebooted Power Rangers universe?...

Back in January fans of Power Rangers learned through an IMDb post that Simon Bennett, director of many Ninja Steel and Beast Morphers episodes and producer of several well-known New Zealand dramas, had “taken over the reins as EP (executive producer) of Hasbro’s famed Power Rangers TV series.” He later stated that he was also the showrunner as well.
At the time this left fans a bit confused since Chip Lynn, who’d worked on the show back in the 90’s and returned in 2015 for Dino Charge, was the executive producer. While TV shows having two executive producers isn’t uncommon the whole situation was further muddled by comments from former Power Rangers actor Austin St. John. At at a convention appearance he started that Lynn was “phasing out” of his role on the show. Fans were left wondering who was in control of Power Rangers’ production and could...

Slowly but surely key creative talents on the Power Rangers brand have been leaving the franchise.
Things are changing in the world of Power Rangers. When the franchise was sold by Saban Brands to Hasbro in 2018 it was expected change was coming but it took until 2019 to really start to see the effects of the sale.
First up in March 2019 Jason Bischoff, the Global Franchise Director for Power Rangers, who had been with the franchise for three years was let go. In July Brian Casentini, Senior Vice President of Power Rangers Franchise Development and Production for Allspark Pictures and Executive Producer on Power Rangers Beast Morphers and Super Ninja Steel, left the franchise after being with it for ten years.
At the time he stated in an interivew with ComicBook.com that he departed to purse a number of projects he'd wanted to work on for a very long time but,...

Publisher Badland Games has teamed up with Roll7 to bring their hit skateboarding series to retail. Available this Summer, OlliOlli: Epic Combo Edition will include both games in the series, 2014’s OlliOlli and last year’s OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, on one disc. The compilation is currently set only to release on PlayStation 4, and no pricing details have been announced yet.
While there won’t be any exclusive in-game content in OlliOlli: Epic Combo Edition, Badland Games is making a pretty compelling case for existing fans to double dip. The physical release will include a CD containing OlliOlli2‘s well received soundtrack, a booklet that talks about the game’s creation, and three separate documentaries focusing on the series. That’s a significant amount of extras, and since they don’t affect the game itself it shouldn’t rub those that already own OlliOlli digitally the wrong way.

Thanks to a blog post on Curve Studios’ official website, we now know that the developer’s Wii U, 3Ds and Xbox One ports of Roll7’s OlliOlli will be released in “mid-March.”
For the uninitiated, OlliOlli is a retro-flavoured and trick-focused skateboarding title, which was successful enough as a new IP to warrant a sequel. Since Britain’s Roll7 — who originally crafted the downloadable extreme sports game — is handling duties on its sequel, OlliOlli2: Welcome to Olliwood, porting duties fell to Curve, a studio that is known for its work on games like Stealth Inc. and The Swapper.
Expect each of these three OlliOlli ports to release during the same week, and read on for their developer’s full message.
Hey Curve-fans!
Today, we’re very stoked to announce that our versions of Roll7’s totally dope trick-em-up OlliOlli will be hitting Xbox One, 3Ds and Wii U consoles in mid-march.

Roll7′s acclaimed side-scrolling skateboarding title, OlliOlli is currently targeting a July 22 launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Windows PC. Director Simon Bennett revealed the news to Den of Geek at this past weekend’s Pax East.
Originally released for the PlayStation Vita back in January, OlliOlli is a simple to control, but difficult to master skateboarding title with a colorful and unique look. While Roll7 will still be handling PC development duties for this port, the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 versions will be done by Blitworks. This will not be the first time that the studio has stepped in to help out with ports, either, as they previously handled releases of Spelunky and Fez for the PlayStation family of consoles. Devolver Digital, who helped publish Hotline Miami, will handle publishing duties for PC version of the title.

The launch of The Lego Movie is the latest step in the resurgence of the Danish company that a decade ago was on the verge of bankruptcy
Coloured bricks and yellow heads have become the unlikely toast of the cinema box office as Hollywood's most plastic movie yet opened in the UK.
Starring animated characters and familiar bump-topped scenery, The Lego Movie is not only perhaps the biggest product placement film ever seen, but it marks a key moment in the rise and rise of the Scandinavian toy company that at the end of last year became the world's second biggest after seeing a 13% increase in sales during what are tough times for other toy makers.
The song from the movie, Everything is Awesome, is already a YouTube hit and on Sunday evening the film's release will be celebrated by an entire ITV commercial break of three adverts being recreated in Lego pieces.
