- Born
- Christoffer Boe was born on May 7, 1974 in Rungsted Kyst, Denmark. He is a writer and director, known for Reconstruction (2003), Beast (2011) and Sex, Drugs & Taxation (2013).
- He is of strong individualist and libertarian leanings and has written articles for the Danish libertarian magazine Libertas published by the free-market society of the same name.
- Working on three films. His second feature film "Prediction" is in post production. He's also writing the script for his third feature film, a science fiction film called "Allegro". Finally he's making a short film as part of Visions of Europe to mark the expansion of the European Union with 10 new membership countries.
- Because he believes that movies are always a team effort, he attributes all his movies to "Hr. Boe & Co.", which refers to the team he has surrounded himself with since his days on the National Film School of Denmark.
- When the editorial staff of the Danish television programme Filmland awarded him their yearly award for extraordinary contribution to Danish film the motivation was as follows: "Christoffer Boe plays with the film media and with his audience. He is able to weave a tangled filmic web - loosing neither the story nor his own ambitious intent."
- During his time at the National Film School of Denmark he directed a trilogy of short films. They were "Obsession" (1999), "Virginity" (2000) and "Anxiety" (2001).
- I liked movies so much that they became an obsession. I am still trying to kick the habit.
- Making it good, which is tougher than one might think. Creating rules and an inner logic in a cinematic world where everything is possible is not easy. Or maybe it is, but it wasn't for me.
- Make more movies. Make better movies.
