Jeremy Renner found worldwide fame and love for portraying the iconic role of Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alongside his superhero role, Renner also starred in 2021’s iconic series Mayor of Kingstown.
With unnerving death scenes and unapologetic writing, Mayor of Kingstown quickly grabbed the attention of the world and threw Jeremy Renner into the spotlight. With an unnecessary death in the show, Renner revealed in an earlier interview that everything is important in this series, even a death that may seem unimportant in the beginning!

TV crossovers and interconnected universes are the best things when it comes to fandom. But they can be super tricky, for it involves combining separate ongoing storylines into one project. It’s a daunting task for the creative group, which if not done correctly can end up being like Zooey Deschanel’s New Girl and Brooklyn 99 crossover.
Zooey Deschanel as Jessica Day in New Girl
Although people appreciated watching Zooey Deschanel in Brooklyn 99, it wasn’t a great idea to combine the comedy styles of the two shows. Further, what created the biggest mess out of the crossover was featuring the same actors in different roles in the two shows.

Brooklyn Nine-nine – Pictured in this screen grab: Andy Samberg as Jake Peralta — (Photo by: NBC) After his seven-year stint on Saturday Night Live ended, Andy Samberg returned to weekly television in 2015 with his first network sitcom, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Samberg was top-billed in an ensemble cast that also included the late, great Andre Braugher, Stephanie Beatriz, Joe Lo Truglio, Terry Crews, and Melissa Fumero. In spite of being cancelled by its first network home, Fox, the show wound up making it through eight seasons, with the final seasons airing on NBC. As the show was wrapping up in 2021, while the show was in its last season, Samberg spoke about the impact Brooklyn Nine-Nine had on his life and career. TV crossovers have been around almost as long as the medium of television itself. Before the advent of modern shared universes, they were mostly just a lark intended to goose viewership. When "Adventures of Superman" star George Reeves turned up as the show's namesake in the 1957 "I Love Lucy" episode "Lucy and Superman," it was all a big in-joke and not some kind of serious declaration that Lucy and Ricky Ricardo somehow existed in the same universe as the Man of Steel. Nearly 60 years later, when "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) crossed paths with Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) from "New Girl," it was a similar bit of fun ... assuming you could refrain from thinking too hard about the in-universe implications.
Speaking of not thinking too hard about canonical implications, Hart Hanson's playful yet by and large grounded Fox procedural "Bones" likewise crossed over with, of all shows,...

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" is, hands down, one of the funniest sitcoms in recent TV history. The Andy Samberg-led detective comedy lost a bit of its considerable charm with a final season that attempted (perhaps ultimately unsuccessfully) to grapple with timely discussions about policing, but for the vast majority of the show's eight-season run, it was an energetic and uproarious fan favorite. As Mike Schur's follow-up to "Parks and Recreation" (Schur co-created "Nine-Nine" with Dan Goor), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" continued the writers' knack for creating quick-witted and endearing workplace sitcoms that are perfect binge-watch material.
Along with Samberg's goofy detective Jake Peralta, an all-star cast rounds out New York's 99th precinct. Stephanie Beatriz's menacing Rosa, Melissa Fumero's perfectionist Amy, Joe Lo Truglio's awkward but loyal Boyle, and Terry Crews' family man Terry are among the show's featured players, but no one on the cast list brought quite as...

It is a cruel, unfair twist of fate that we lost the amazing and talented Andre Braugher this week at the age of 61. Though Braugher appeared in notable film roles over the course of a handful of decades, like his debut role of Corporal Thomas Searles in Edward Zwick's "Glory," Brent Norton in Frank Darabont's adaptation of "The Mist," and real-life journalist and editor Dean Baquet in the recent "She Said," he was best known on the small screen for primarily playing men of authority, like his Emmy-winning turn as Detective Frank Pembleton of the Baltimore Pd on "Homicide: Life on the Street." For many viewers, Braugher is best known for playing another commanding cop, Captain Raymond Holt of the NYPD in the brilliantly silly eight-season sitcom "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." Both when it aired initially, and through binge-rewatches, it's clear that Braugher successfully balanced the serious and the loopy in his performance as Holt,...

At first blush, Andre Braugher cut a similar figure to Raymond Holt, the NYPD captain he spent eight seasons playing on the Fox-turned-NBC sitcom “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Both were imposing figures who carried a sense of gravitas: Braugher as a Juilliard-trained, Emmy-winning dramatic actor; Holt as a gay, Black police officer who’d overcome prejudice to climb his agency’s ranks. Both found themselves in a working environment with a zaniness that was superficially at odds with their well-earned reputations, whether a joke-filled network comedy or the precinct it was named for.
But just like his character, Braugher’s last major leading role in a television series before his death on Monday at just 61, the performer took naturally to this new environment. The straight man is a classic archetype in an ensemble comedy, and Captain Holt is initially introduced as a somber foil to Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), a “Die...

Andre Braugher, the two-time Emmy-winning actor who starred in the hit television series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Homicide: Life on the Street,” died Monday after a brief illness. He was 61.
Braugher’s publicist Jennifer Allen confirmed the news of his death to Variety.
Braugher was known for his role as the upright Captain Raymond Holt on the police procedural comedy series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” from 2013 until 2021. His character’s stoic and no-nonsense personality but deep sense of humanity made him an instant fan favorite of the show, especially when paired with Andy Samberg’s hotshot Det. It goes without saying that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is one of the most hilarious cop comedies out there. However, it’s not just for its witty writing and brilliant ensemble cast but also its cleverly crafted cold opens. The brief snippets at the start of each episode expertly set the tone while giving glimpses into the unique personalities of each character. From Captain Holt’s (Andre Braugher) deadpan delivery to Jake Peralta’s (Andy Samberg) over-the-top antics, every member of the Nine-Nine gets their time in the sun. Altogether, these intros never fail to inspire some giggles and full-on laughter. So, with all that in...

Tacoma Fd is one of the funniest and wackiest workplace comedies. The truTV series follows a crew of firefighters in one of the rainiest cities in America. The Tacoma Fire Department crew doesn’t put out a lot of fires but it definitely has some of the funniest members out of any series. The series is currently airing its fourth season, and if you like it so far here are some shows you could watch after Season 4 while waiting for Season 5.

This post contains spoilers for "Good Omens" season 2.
What's the right way to acknowledge the privilege with which you were raised? It's probably not by having your publicist shut down the question, as Ben Platt did in a recent Rolling Stone interview. Allison Williams sits at the other side of the spectrum of the "nepo baby" discourse, having eloquently and succinctly acknowledged her "fortunate" circumstances in an interview last year. Nepotism in Hollywood is a subject of endless fascination and discourse these days, and while the range of responses from celebrity kids has been wide, I think it's safe to say that Ty Tennant has chosen the most entertaining approach to the topic: Play some chaotic nepo babies on TV.
Ty, who is the son of actors Georgia and David Tennant, joined his dad in the latest season of "Good Omens" during a flashback "minisode" about the biblical story of Job.

The latest episode of Succession may distract you with the playpen it has put together for the new, supremely unstable co-CEOs of Waystar Royco, but have you seen just how much brighter Shiv has been glowing? For eight seasons, fans tuned in to TV’s Brooklyn Nine-Nine to see Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) and his co-workers at the fictional 99th Precinct of the New York City Police Department. Do you like your sitcoms lighthearted with a hint of mystery? Do you think Jake Peralta is an amazing "detective slash genius"? Do you often restrain yourself from blurting out "title of your sex tape" when someone says something that sounds unintentionally inappropriate? Many beloved television shows are known for having stellar Halloween episodes. "Roseanne" and "Bob's Burgers" truly shine in their spooky specials, and "The Simpsons" has created an institution within an institution with its annual "Treehouse of Horror" installments. "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" shows a similar love for the holiday, kicking the show's wacky antics up a notch for each season's Halloween Heist. Though the show struggled to reconcile its "good guy" NYPD characters with 2020's political climate, which had little use for "copaganda" shows, no matter how nuanced or well-intentioned, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" never lost sight of what made it such a special show. The series used the Halloween Heist episodes to emphasize the squad's devotion to each other along with their hilarious competitive streak that was always rooted in love.

Amy Santiago is one of the most endearing characters on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine." She's utterly obsessed with anything that has to do with rules and organization, she'll create binders for just about anything, sets impossibly high standards for herself, and is totally obsessed with getting Captain Holt's (Andre Braugher) approval. She is a goody-two-shoes, and she's okay with that.
Amy is constantly stressed because she needs to exert control over everything in her life. When things don't go her way, she is predisposed to bouts of anxiety and panic, which also becomes one of her character's defining traits. As per actress Melissa Fumero, who played Amy on the NBC series for eight seasons, the character she auditioned for is very different from the one who ended up in the show. Amy Santiago was written as a confident, tough girl, but the character was later modeled after Fumero's own experience with anxiety.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" has had a fascinating history. The series stars Andy Samberg as Detective Jake Peralta, a goofy cop who loves "Die Hard" and making sex tape jokes while working a case. The sitcom hails from iconic comedy creators and has had a devoted fanbase throughout its run, but was canceled by Fox after its 5th season. NBC revived it for three more, yet after the Black Lives Matter protests of 2020, many long running police shows reexamined the way they propagated the police states. While it's a comedy, "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" was no exception; its writing staff tossed out all of its work on Season 8...

Getting down 'n' dirty while undercover. In a funny sneak peek at tonight's Brooklyn Nine-Nine, airing Sept. 2, Detective Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg) helps Captain Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher) "turn on the charm" to gain evidence. Brooklyn Nine-Nine did not waste any opportunity to tackle some of today's pressing issues that occurred during the pandemic. Among those include police brutality, confined spaces with loved ones, relationship conflict, and more.
A double episode premiere, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episode 1 and Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 Episode 2 is a powerful start to the show's last season.
"The Good Ones" is the stronger episode of the two. However, the premiere successfully shows that Brooklyn Nine-Nine is back and better than ever.
With George Floyd's murder and the rise of police brutality protests during 2020, Andy Samberg, who plays Jake Peralta, discussed how Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 would deal with these issues.
And the show certainly does not hesitate as they dive right in, starting with Rosa quitting the NYPD to become a private investigator on behalf of police brutality victims.

When last we saw the gang from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Andy Samberg’s Jake Peralta was passing his new baby son McClane — named, of course, for Bruce Willis’ character in Jake’s beloved Die Hard — off to wife Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumero) so he could watch a cell phone video of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) and Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews) performing a hip-hop dance routine together. It was a gently silly moment on a show that had long made gentle silliness its stock in trade. It was not necessarily meant as a series finale,...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine was always produced by NBC, and now that its home where it belongs, it’s become a staple of the network’s comedy line-up. The series is also enjoying a new streaming home on Peacock, where it is available to stream with a Premium subscription. Always a critical favorite, the workplace sitcom seemed to be rejuvenated by the network switch, and viewers have responded. According to Deadline, the “last season grew to… 6.4 million viewers overall.” NBC executives were quick to renew the series for season 8 just weeks after its season 7 debut. Then in February, NBC confirmed that season 8 will be the show’s final.
However, a number of events have delayed the return of the series. Besides the obvious production hurdles due to Covid-19 restrictions, showrunner Dan Goor revealed that his writing team threw out completed scripts for the eighth season following George Floyd’s death and the...
