Entrepreneur Mark Cuban says that he’ll vote for Joe Biden over Donald Trump, going so far as to say that he’d back the current president vs. his likely challenger even if “he was being given last rites.”
Cuban’s comments quickly took off on social media, and he added further clarity on Tuesday, when he told Axios that he found Trump to be “a snake oil salesperson.”
“One will tell you his snake oil will cure everything that ails you. The other will show you the details of his policies through charts, graphs and statements,” Cuban told Axios.
Via email, Cuban told Deadline that even though he supports Biden over Trump, that doesn’t mean he’ll take part in fundraisers or make campaign donations. “Never have,” he wrote.
Cuban, the former majority owner of the Dallas Mavericks, plans to leave ABC’s Shark Tank following its 16th season.

It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that Grammy Award-winning singer and musician Taylor Swift was amidst a scandal that had her explicit images and videos being leaked to the public on the internet, which was later found to be nothing but AI DeepFakes. And now, another famous female celebrity finds herself in the same situation.

Mark Cuban's wise business investments on Shark Tank have made him the right fit for being a judge and have added to his net worth. His investments in Tower Paddle Boards, Gameday Couture, BeatBox Beverages, Nuts 'N' More, and Rugged Maniac have turned ordinary people into multi-millionaires. Mark Cuban's biggest investment on the show was in Ten Thirty-One Productions.
Although Mark Cuban is by far the richest "shark" investor on ABC's Shark Tank, his wise business investments while being on the show proves that he was the right fit for being a judge. The business mogul officially became a recurring host on the show, joining other sharks such as Daymond John, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, and Kevin O'Leary.
Cuban has invested an excess of $20 million in over 85 deals from 2011 to 2023, and some of those investments have even made history as the biggest investment ever on the show. Let's find...

Update, video added Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang didn’t seem too thrilled when Dave Chappelle, for reasons unknown to the audience and apparently some of the SNL cast, jumped on stage during the cast’s good night segment at the end of Saturday’s show.
Watch video of the segment below.
Chappelle, who has drawn considerable backlash from the LGBTQ+ community for what many perceive as transphobic jokes, had no on-screen role in Saturday’s episode, which was hosted by Dakota Johnson and featured musical guest Justin Timberlake. Dakota Johnson brought Shark Tank to Saturday Night Live.
Mark Cuban and Barbara Corcoran crashed proceedings during a book club sketch. It comes after Cuban revealed that he was leaving the long-running ABC show after its 16th season.
But what’s the skit’s million-dollar idea, you might ask?
It was a T-shirt. Did the T-shirt do anything special? No. But it did read, “Don’t ask if I’m ok. I’m ok. But if everyone starts asking if I’m ok, I might start crying’ on it.”
“I distilled the entire human experience into three sentences,” Dakota Johnson said.
Corcoran offered $500,000 for a 10% stake in Johnson’s company, outbidding Ego Nwodim’s offer of $400,000 for 20%. “How’s a cool million sound?” asked Cuban.
“If you’re willing to work together, I’ll take all the money,” said Johnson.

During Dakota Johnson’s Saturday Night Live monologue, she acknowledged that she just can’t take “interviews seriously” while promoting her films.
The actress, who stars in the upcoming Marvel movie Madame Web, alongside Sydney Sweeney, Isabela Merced and Celeste O’Connor, has been doing a lot of press interviews for the film and realized, “I’m just not good at talking to journalists.”
“I think the big problem is that I say stuff and then they write it down and, and it’s really unfair because most of the time I’m joking,” she quipped.
But Johnson said she’s been that way for a long time, even when she was younger. She proceeded to show a video of herself on a red carpet in the ’90s with her father, actor Don Johnson, as a child. In the footage, she can be seen rolling her eyes.

Has there ever been a worse idea than David Wallace’s “Suck It” shop-vac for kids? Not according to the United States Military, who paid enough lettuce for the idea to put the disgraced Dunder Mifflin CFO back on the map. By the end of US version of The Office, Wallace was head of his old company once again and thriving. Makes you wonder what would have been had Michael Scott actually joined his former boss for “Suck It” in the season 6 episode “Sabre” and made his millions. For one thing, “Scott’s Tots” would have a much happier ending.
You can’t completely blame Michael for being so shortsighted, though. As David describes it while hanging out with Michael in the hot tub, “Suck It” sounds like a desperate unemployed man’s fever dream of a second coming.
“You know how kids leave their toys everywhere?” David explains in the episode.

A favorite and feverish game from Wall Street to Hollywood heading into 2024 is pairing up media companies, or pieces of them, to see what fits where in a high-stakes jigsaw puzzle that will shape the future of the industry.
Ongoing streaming losses, anticipated interest rate cuts (that could lower financing costs), more robust stock prices and the end of WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes — as well as actual, high-level conversations — have many believing that sluggish media M&a of all sizes could pick up dramatically in the new year. Just in this last week of 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery acquired Turkish streaming service BlueTV, Altice USA sold financial news streamer Cheddar and Lionsgate closed its acquisition of eOne.
There’s a logic to bigger deals as well. With Disney being “the only scaled legacy media company,” wrote Vijay Jayant of Evercore Isi, “a merger of some combination of NBCUniversal, Paramount, and Warner Bros Discovery has strong economic rationale.

Buy low, sell high. Mark Cuban just proved himself a master of that tried-and-true investment mantra.
The Shark Tank mainstay is not only swimming away from that show after 14 successful seasons, he has now received approval from the NBA Board of Governors to sell the majority stake in his beloved Dallas Mavericks.
Cuban bought the Mavericks for $285 million in 2000 is now selling the team for about $3.5 billion. That’s a cool $3-plus billion over the purchase price and Cuban will reportedly retain 27% of the team and may well retain control of basketball operations. A pretty sweet deal.
Per Yahoo Sports:
Cuban is selling at a time franchise values are rising (in part based on a new national television broadcast deal starting in 2025 [that is] expected to double that national revenue) and likely expansion will bring a flood of cash to teams’ bottom lines (through expansion fees).
