A versatile theatre actress, Paula's breakthrough television role came
in playing the fierce-willed character of Donna in the BBC's long
running continuing drama "Eastenders".
This has led to a diverse variety of television roles that have
demonstrated Paula's versatility. From an ambitious police Detective
Inspector ("Silent Witness"), to a comical trophy wife ("Midsomer
Murders"); and a tragically-romantic World War 2 "Land Girl" ("Foyle's
War"), to a cunningly-manipulative fortune hunter ("To The Ends Of The
Earth"), Paula has become a familiar face on British network
television.
Paula continues to split her time between television and theater
productions. In the 2007 touring theater production of Mike Leigh's
"Abigail's Party", Paula was nominated for the prestigious MEN
(Manchester Evening News) Award for Best Actress, in the iconic role of
Beverly.
