A gothic/metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1989. Led by
singer/bassist/songwriter Peter Steele (was also the leader of the NYHC
band 'Carnivore' from 1983-1988), followed by guitarist Kenny Hickey,
keyboardist Josh Silver, and drummer Johnny Kelly. The band hit its
prime in 1993 with the platinum album, "Bloody Kisses". This was
followed up by the gold album, "October Rust". The band continues to
release albums every 2-3 years and tour worldwide.
