'Nurse Jackie' Season 6: Eve Best will not return to Showtime dramedy
Dr. O'Hara won't be home from London when "Nurse Jackie" returns for Season 6.

TV Line reports that Eve Best has opted to walk away from the hit Showtime dramedy. "It was her choice," executive producer Richie Jackson tells the website. "She wanted to move back to London and devote time to theatre work there."

It turns out that Best, who's played the best friend and co-worker of Edie Falco's title character since the show's launch in 2009, actually returned to the UK before the show's current fifth season began. Her appearances were possible courtesy of a handful of pre-taped cameos.

The Season 5 finale of "Nurse Jackie" airs Sunday (June 16) at 9 p.m. on Showtime

Are you disappointed that Best (and her character) will no longer be a part of the "Nurse Jackie" world?
