Clough Williams-Ellis was born on 28 May 1883 in Gayton, Northamptonshire, England, UK. He was married to Mary Amabel Nassau Williams-Ellis. He died on 9 April 1978 in the UK.
Designed and primarily responsible for construction of the town of Portmeirion in Wales. Portmeirion is best known as the location where the series The Prisoner (1967) was filmed, as well as parts of the series Danger Man (1960). Consequently, he was in both of these series as an extra.
