Robin Roberts missed the recent episode of Good Morning America, with a colleague filling in for the longtime anchor.
As GMA opened Friday, Rebecca Jarvis was at the desk with co-anchors Michael Strahan and George Stephanopolous.
The trio didn’t comment on Robin’s whereabouts, although she’s missed Friday episodes regularly.
She’d just returned to the morning show earlier in the week after traveling with friends and colleagues.
Robin went on a big trip to Cleveland, Ohio, to watch the NCAA Women’s College Basketball Championship Game featuring Caitlin Clark and Iowa against No. 1 South Carolina.
Following that event, Robin said a colleague encouraged her to stay in the city to witness the total solar eclipse, which was viewable near the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
She returned to GMA briefly until she was back on the road for another adventure, as she revealed to fans after her latest absence.

Roberts appeared on GMA this week, usually along with co-anchors Michael Strahan and George Stephanopoulos.
Stephanopoulos wasn’t in the studio on Thursday with them as he was on assignment in London. Rebecca Jarvis replaced him next to Strahan and Roberts.

Before her potential absence, she uploaded a new video for fans and followers, including suggestions for the days ahead.
Among the advice she passed on was to “lay down your regrets,” which some may have believed was a reference to her personal life.

As Good Morning America opened for its latest episode, Robin Roberts was absent from the desk.
Instead, viewers saw her regular co-anchors, Michael Strahan and George Stephanopolous, joined by Rebecca Jarvis.
Jarvis previously replaced Roberts during other GMA absences, including work trips for assignments in Iowa and Tennessee.
In this latest instance, Roberts had another excellent reason for missing the ABC morning program as she had some fun in the sun.
Several days ago, she shared an intriguing message about the “demands of work” and later hinted that she had traveled away from GMA but had a flight delay.
However, a new social media post arrived, showing that Roberts was enjoying the warm and sunny Bahamas with several friends.

Robin Roberts told her Good Morning America co-star “Not a chance” during a wild TV segment that included their colleagues.
After missing GMA in New York last week, Roberts returned to the studio for episodes on Monday and Tuesday.
Her co-anchor, Michael Strahan, was out both days, likely due to spending time with family or other significant events.
However, Roberts and Strahan appeared together in a recent piece of movie magic for viewers.
With the Oscars this past weekend, it also meant Oscars afterparties, and GMA was part of the festivities.
The group participated in a crazy, fun spoof of one of the top award contenders throughout the 2024 awards season.

The Good Morning America host also recognizes his colleagues’ bravery when covering various stories under dangerous or challenging conditions.
He regularly works alongside primary co-anchors Robin Roberts and George Stephanopoulos at the GMA desk, who have covered many big stories over the years.
Michael also works with other anchors and personalities, including meteorologists and correspondents such as Ginger Zee, Sam Champion, and Rob Marciano.
Marciano appeared on Friday’s episode of GMA to report on an exciting development in human transportation.

In an interview with Variety, the professional dancer, who announced her exit via Instagram on Sunday, detailed the decision to leave after competing on 26 seasons.
“If I were to just talk as an athlete, a dancer and a woman, my time has been up. I’m 38 years old. “90s Night” on “Dancing with the Stars” ended with the double elimination of “D’Amelio Show” star Heidi D’Amelio and “Jersey Shore” alum Vinny Guadagnino. That leaves us with six semifinalists, but there will be another double elimination tonight which will narrow the show down to its final four. So who will be the last to go home before the finale? “DWTS” fans have been placing their bets all week, and they’re pretty confident about the first celeb who will go home, but not so sure about the second.
Actor Trevor Donovan is the overwhelming favorite to be sent home with leading odds of 83/50. And that’s no slight against him as a contestant. He has steadily improved all season after starting with a phobia of the dance floor. But of the remaining six celebrities, he’s the only one who has been in the bottom two or bottom three before.

“Jersey Shore” star Vinny Guadagnino has been an unmovable object this season on “Dancing with the Stars,” advancing safely through the competition despite consistently low scores from the judges. But tonight on “90s Night” there will be two stars sent home, which may be the biggest test yet for his fan base.
According to the combined predictions of “DWTS” fans who have placed their bets here in our predictions center, Guadagnino will indeed be eliminated. He gets leading 15/8 odds of being sent home. He’s followed by “The D’Amelio Show” star Heidi D’Amelio with 41/20 odds, so those are the two celebs most likely to exit the competition.
See’90s Night on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ includes relay dances, special guests and a double elimination
Might that be wishful thinking, though? Our readers are losing patience with Guadagnino, as evidenced by our recent polls. And last week our odds also predicted that Guadagnino would be eliminated.

“Dancing with the Stars” judges may have saved country singer Jesse James Decker on “Prom Night.” No, she didn’t land in the bottom two and rely on the judges’ votes to keep her in the competition. Instead, they crowned her prom queen in the dance marathon. Her 11 bonus points for that marathon, combined with her dance scores and the votes of viewers at home, were enough to keep her out of the bottom two entirely. Will she stay out of trouble again on “Michael Buble Night“? Our users are divided.
As of this writing Decker leads our elimination predictions with 11/5 odds based on the combined forecasts of “DWTS” fans who have placed their bets here in our predictions center. She’s followed by “Jersey Shore” alum Vinny Guadagnino with 11/4 odds and then actor Trevor Donovan with 4/1 odds.

Cheryl Burke may have danced her last dance on “Dancing with the Stars.” After her and Sam Champion‘s elimination last week on Season 31, the two-time champ is likely done as a pro.
“A lot of people have asked me if this is my last season. The answer to that question is likely yes, this is my last season, as a dancer that is,” Burke said on her podcast Burke in the Game. “To have been a part of a show for 26 seasons, it is hard for me [to leave]. … I always come back, because, I guess, it’s really hard to say goodbye to a show and to a family, that I’ve only known here in Los Angeles. I moved her when I was 21. I’m 38 now. My body is also telling me to stop and it has been.”

Actor Trevor Donovan was in the bottom two on “Disney+ Night” on “Dancing with the Stars,” but he survived. Might that stay of execution be short-lived, though? So far this season the bottom two has been the kiss of death, even if you’re saved by the judges the first time. And according to the combined predictions of “DWTS” fans who have placed their bets here in our predictions center, Donovan will be the next to fall victim to that curse.

Poor Sam Champion couldn’t catch a break on “Dancing with the Stars.” For two weeks in a row the ABC meteorologist got some of the show’s toughest dance styles. For two weeks in a row he was in the bottom two when judges’ scores were combined with viewer votes. And on “Disney+ Night” he was finally eliminated from the competition. Was that the right result? We asked fans. Scroll down for the complete poll results.

Trevor Donovan felt like he put his best foot — and face — forward on Monday’s “Dancing with the Stars,” which made Derek Hough‘s critiques all the more surprising to him. The judge commented what while he thought the actor’s samba with Emma Slater was good, Donovan’s face “took me out of it” because “I can see you thinking about the steps.”
“To be honest, yes, because I felt pretty loose,” Donovan told Us Weekly when asked if he was confused by Hough’s remarks. “I don’t know. I didn’t feel like I was heady at all, but I’m gonna take their criticism to heart and get back in it next week.”

The forecast turned cloudy for ABC weatherman Sam Champion (Good Morning America) and his pro partner, Cheryl Burke, on Dancing With the Stars on October 10. This time, the DWTS paddle holders unanimously agreed to keep Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater in the competition. “Dancing With the Stars” took on once of its most popular weeks on Monday night, with each star performing routines to hit Disney+ songs. While many of the routines were on the faster side, the emotion was still running high.
Selma Blair and Sasha Farber were tasked with a quickstep to “The Muppet Show Theme” from “The Muppet Show,” and she was feeling the pressure. Ahead of her routine, she admitted that after performing blindfolded last week, she thought she would receive higher scores than four 7s — the scores she’s gotten every week. She said it was a “wake up call” that she wasn’t impressing the judges the way she wanted. Luckily, after this week’s quickstep, the pair were thrilled to receive four 8s for the first time.

The age-old tradition of featuring a Disney-themed night on Dancing With The Stars is now a thing of the past. That’s because it’s been replaced by a Disney+ Night! Nothing like taking synergy to a whole new level, right ballroom fans?
And boy, did the celebrities fully commit. Everyone danced to a song from a movie or series that can currently be found on the platform, from a jive to a ditty from Hocus Pocus 2 to a quickstep to “Finally Free” from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Hmm, nothing to cha cha to from She Hulk or Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness? Maybe next season.
Now that Tyra Banks and Alfonso Ribeiro have once again made their separate entrances to the ballroom (an attempt to stretch time or did someone have specific requests in her contract?), it’s on with the show!
Sam Champion and Cheryl Burke.

On Week 4 of “Dancing With the Stars,” Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas were tied at the top of the leaderboard again as they channeled Marge and Homer Simpson for Disney+ night. They shared the top spot with Wayne Brady and Witney Carson, who danced a jazz number to “Wait For It,” from “Hamilton.”
The night also saw homages to “Luca,” “The Muppet Show,” “Mary Poppins,” “Hocus Pocus 2” and other offerings on Disney+.
Weatherman Sam Champion and partner Cheryl Burke ended up in the bottom again, with judges having to choose between them and Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater. So who went home? Sadly, it was Sam, who did a “The Greatest Showmen”-themed paso doble.

“Dancing with the Stars” moved from ABC to Disney+ this season, and now the streaming service has devoted an entire night of the show to itself. “Disney Night” has been a perennial theme on “DWTS” for years, but “Disney+ Night” was slightly different. It wasn’t just a night to pay tribute to original Disney productions. It also featured music and dances inspired by Disney acquisitions that are available to stream — perhaps right after you’re done watching “DWTS,” Disney probably hopes. So who excelled on “Intellectual Property Night” and who was eliminated? Follow along below for our live blog with all our minute-by-minute commentary throughout the evening.

Meteorologist Sam Champion landed in the bottom two on “Bond Night” on “Dancing with the Stars,” but he was saved by the judges in a unanimous decision. However, the way this season has been going, that’s bad news for him going into “Disney+ Night” tonight. Sadly, I wasn’t surprised by the elimination of actress Cheryl Ladd on “Bond Night” on “Dancing with the Stars,” and neither were Gold Derby contributors Jeffrey Kare and Cordell Martin when we convened for our video slugfest to discuss that episode and preview what’s to come. “Dancing with the Stars” ended “Bond Night” with a choice between two celebrities. The judges had to decide whether actress Cheryl Ladd or meteorologist Sam Champion would be saved from the bottom two and which would be eliminated. But according to the “DWTS” fans we polled this week, neither of those celebs should have been on the chopping block. Scroll down for our complete poll results.
Ladd first landed in the bottom two on “Elvis Night,” but the judges narrowly voted to save her, eliminating “Real Housewives” star Teresa Giudice instead. This time Ladd wasn’t so lucky. On “Bond Night” she danced a rumba that got praise from the judges with Derek Hough calling it her best dance and Bruno Tonioli telling her she got her sparkle back. Unfortunately, her total score of 24 out of 40 was still only good enough for 13th place out of the 14 remaining contestants on the judges’ leaderboard.

Sam Champion and Cheryl Burke were saved from elimination on “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday, but the pro would’ve been all right if the judges had voted the other way.
“With this season in particular, there’s peace along with the whole elimination process,” Burke told Us Weekly. “Like, normally I’m a nervous, sweaty wreck, but with Sam, if I’m looking at the actual ability of all the celebrities? We are very blessed to still be in this competition, to be quite honest, and Sam knows that.”
The pair landed in the bottom two for the first time this season after earning a 25 for their samba on Bond Night. The judges unanimously voted to save them, sending Cheryl Ladd and Louis van Amstel, who were in the bottom two for the second straight week, out the door. With Ladd’s exit, Champion, 61, is now the oldest contestant remaining in the competition.

The most synergistic night on “Dancing with the Stars” now comes with a slight twist. Disney Night is so yesterday (and a broadcast network ago). It’s time to bring on Disney+ Night.
In honor of the show’s new home, the remaining 13 couples will perform to songs featured in a film or series on the streaming service. Conrad Green, it’s so good to have you back as executive producer on Dancing with the Stars! For the second week in a row “Dancing with the Stars” paid tribute to an icon. Last week was “Elvis Night,” and this week celebrated a fictional icon: Bond, James Bond. In an unusual turn of events, more than half of the contestants were performing in the same dance style. Eight out of the 14 got slow and sensual rumbas: actress Selma Blair, TikTok star Charli D’Amelio, country singer Jessie James Decker, actor Daniel Durant, “Jersey Shore” alum Vinny Guadagnino, actress Cheryl Ladd, drag queen Shangela, and singer Jordin Sparks. That left six who were performing different routines. Dancing the Argentine tango were reality TV star Heidi D’Amelio and fitness model Joseph Baena. Actors Wayne Brady and Trevor Donovan performed regular tangos. Meteorologist Sam Champion got the notoriously difficult samba.

“Dancing with the Stars” will get shaken, not stirred, when it celebrates Bond Night on Monday’s episode.
To mark the 60th anniversary of the release of the first James Bond film, “Dr. No,” the top 14 will perform to Bond theme songs on Week 3. But you won’t hear one notable tune: Adele‘s “Skyfall” from the 2012 film of the same name and the first Bond theme to win the Best Original Song Oscar. The subsequent two Oscar-winning themes, Sam Smith‘s “Writing on the Wall” from 2015’s “Spectre” and Billie Eilish‘s title track to last year’s “No Time to Die,” will be represented on the show.
And with the moody nature of most of the tracks, you will not be shocked to learn that there will be lots of rumbas — eight of them, to be exact. Definitely a missed opportunity not to make it 007.

Dancing With the Stars has made Disney+ its home, and after two episodes, it's clear the series is better following the move.
Monday's two-hour spectacular involved a tribute to Elvis Presley.
There was immediate drama going into the episode after it emerged that Daniella Karagach tested positive for Covid-19.
As a result, Joseph Baena was paired up with Alexis Warr as a temporary measure.
How did they match up when all was said and done, and more importantly, who got the boot?
Jessie James Decker and Alan Bersten - 25 out of 40 - Safe
It's becoming increasingly clearer that these two may be a match made in DWTS heaven.
They're not the best of the performers, but they are close enough to the best.
Jordan Sparks and Branton Armstrong - 25 out of 40 - Safe
Their performance markedly improved on the season premiere, delivering some great moments.
Thankfully, they were deemed safe...

After reporting multiple cases of Covid in the last week, Dancing with the Stars returned to the Disney+ ballroom Monday to honor Elvis Presley and to showcase how much Tyra Banks towers over her hosting partner Alfonso Ribeiro. Those two need to stand at opposite sides of the stage! The pro lineup was unfortunately one hoofer short: Daniella Karagach tested positive for the virus overnight so her partner Joseph Baena had to mask up and perform with fill-in troupe dancer Alexis Warr.
Let’s roll the tape on week 2!
Cheryl Ladd and Louis Van Amstel. The duo took an adorable spin in a convertible before their performance, but there wasn’t a lot that was cute about their tango to “A Little Less Conversation.” Ladd got lost, missed many, many steps, and was genuinely overwhelmed by what was expected of her. But damn, the ‘ol girl looks great! “That would...

So how did the remaining contestants do on “Elvis Night” on September 26, and who was next on the chopping block? Follow along below with our minute-by-minute live blog of all the action from “Dancing with the Stars” “Elvis Night.”

There’ll be a little less conversation and a little more action on the dance floor on “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday. It’s Elvis Night on Week 2 and the remaining 15 couples will all perform to a track by the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The night will be divided into three chronological acts, representing distinct periods of Elvis Presley‘s career: his early days in rock, his foray into acting and his Las Vegas residency. The featured dance styles will be Viennese waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, rumba, tango and of course, the jive.
See the full list below.
Joseph Baena and Daniella Karagach: Viennese waltz (“If I Can Dream”)
