Began her journalistic career in 2006 with WBOC-TV in Maryland. Later went to WFSB-TV in Connecticut. In 2008 she went to work for the Hearst Corp. in Washington, DC, as a political commentator. In 2014 she was hired by NBC News, and covered the campaign of Ted Cruz (II) for the Republican presidential nomination. After that campaign was over, she was made anchor of the MSNBC news show "MSNBC Live" (1996). In 2017 she was named MSNBC's Chief White House Correspondent.
