Rick LeGuerrier is an Emmy® Award-winning producer with a lifetime commitment to storytelling, as a journalist reporting from Canada, the US and Europe, as a broadcast executive, and, as an independent producer and partner in Dream Street. His latest production is the television documentary, 'Never Too Old', which premiered on CBC Docs P.O.V. and is nominated for Best POV Documentary at the 2020 Yorkton Film Festival.
Among Rick's scripted projects are television movies: 'The Phantoms' (CBC), which was honoured with an International Kids Emmy Award, the WGC Best Screenwriting Award, a Best Direction nod from the Canadian Screen Awards, and, the Shaw Rocket Prize; and 'Sticks & Stones' (CTV), winner of the prestigious Shaw Rocket Prize, and Best Foreign Drama at the International Family Film Festival in Hollywood.
Other projects include the documentaries 'Sickboy', which aired on CBC's DOC P.O.V. - nominated for a 2018 Canadian Screen Award for Best Documentary Program, and winner of Best Doc at the Screen Nova Scotia Awards; 'Pets, Vets & Debts' which aired on CBC's The Nature of Things, and, 'Wild and Dangerous: The World of Exotic Pets', which premiered on CBC's Doc Zone, a follow up to the stunning doc 'Zoo Revolution'; the Gemini nominated variety special, 'Barenaked East Coast Music' (CBC); the two time Gemini Award-winning dramatic mini-series, 'Canada Russia '72' (CBC), and the documentaries 'Sext Up Kids' for CBC's Doc Zone, and 'The Grey Lane' for CBC's doc channel; 'The Man They Call Reveen' (documentary), which he also wrote and directed, 'Practice, Practice, Practice' (CBC), 'Flying On The Moon' (CBC), and, 'Neutral Ground' (Newsworld), on which he was also writer/director, winner of the Silver Wave Award, as well as a Bronze Plaque at the Columbus International Film Festival. Rick is executive producer on two seasons of the lifestyle series 'Planet Luxury' (Travel + Escape, Discovery HD), also seen in a dozen markets worldwide.
