NYC's Bottleneck Gallery has debuted a cool new Batman Beyond-inspired print from artist Mark Chilcott. It's a giclée that's 13 x 19 inches, and each of the hand-numbered entries (there are only 75) costs $35. They go on sale today (Thursday, April 13, 2017) at 12pm Est at the official website, so head there to try to snag one before they sell out.
Batman Beyond is one of the best futurized takes on a classic comic book superhero. Taking all of the most crucial elements of the Batman mythos, cleverly updating and reconfiguring them, and introducing a younger, more free-spirited Batman in the form of Terry McGinnis, Batman Beyond was a great addition to the Batman cartoon canon. Mark’s piece shows off just how badass the batsuit design from Batman Beyond was!
I still can't over the fact that Terry McGinnis was voiced by Will Friedle, the guy who played Eric Matthews on Boy Meets World.

A new book presents the history and designs behind such games as Speedball and Xenon. Here's our review of The Bitmap Brothers: Universe.
Games
In movie-making, as in other forms of art, we're used to the notion that some people's work is recognisable at a glance. But what about videogames? Back in the 80s and 90s, the Bitmap Brothers were among the very first design teams to create games so distinctive in their look, sound and feel that you instantly knew it was one of theirs. Having first exploded onto the gaming scene in 1988 with Xenon - a kind of variation on Toaplan's arcade shooter Slapfight, except you could transform into a tank - the Bitmap Brothers set about creating a style that was slick and unspeakably cool.

Politicians Pay Attention: Girl Meets World Just Laid Out What You Should Be Doing for Kids’ Futures
A brilliant message for the generation of tomorrow, coupled with the surprise return of yet another BMW fan-favorite, made the latest episode of Girl Meets World the best yet. Just when I thought Girl Meets World couldn’t get any better, the show went political. This was both a bold and brilliant move, given the upcoming presidential election. Today’s politics have become so much more about choosing a side, about who is right and who is wrong. Girl Meets World displayed a powerful message (albeit with a couple of political stretches and kid-friendly jokes) about what politics are supposed to be about. Quick Recap: Eric Matthews (Will Friedle) returned this week on Girl Meets World to ask his family for help running for New York State Senator. Yes, I know giving that much power to a man who eats cereal without a spoon and walks around like a caveman half of…...

It's ironic that the pilot episode of "Girl Meets World," the new Disney Channel spinoff of ABC's beloved '90s comedy "Boy Meets World," focuses so much on young Riley Matthews' (Rowan Blanchard) adolescent identity crisis when you remember that "Boy Meets World" never quite figured out its own identity. The show started as a silly middle-school farce, then evolved into a slightly cooler high school comedy with rewritten characters (Shaun Hunter was now more serious; Eric Matthews was suddenly a dolt) before shifting to a melodramatic, sentimental style centered on Cory and Topanga's (Ben Savage, Danielle Fishel) relationship and marriage. If Riley Matthews, Cory and Topanga's preteen daughter who's beginning to establish her independence on "Girl Meets World," can establish more consistency than her dad's old series, she'll make it out Ok. Unfortunately, the premiere of "Girl Meets World" is a mess of incomprehensible kiddy comedy and "Full House"-type cloying moments.

Attention '90s kids: Get ready to feel nostalgic!
Sunday marks Will Friedle's 37th birthday. Best known for his epic role as Eric Matthews, Friedle played the requisite, kooky older brother to naive Cory on "Boy Meets World." The legendary ABC comedy depicted a slapstick-yet-honest adolescence as we followed the Matthews brothers through friendships, true love and loss.
"Boy Meets World" accomplished so much during its seven-season run: The show reaffirmed our belief in soulmates (duh, Cory and Topanga), highlighted the importance of a bromance (Shawn and Cory) and also proved the impact a single person (Fee-eeh-eeh-nay!) can have on our lives.
Still, it was Eric's expressive eyebrows and hilarious antics that kept us tuned in. Though his appearance on the 2014 reboot "Girl Meets World" is up in the air, take a trip 20 years back to revisit Eric Matthews' greatest life lessons.
1. Be grateful to those who were tough on you.

When several photos of the "Boy Meets World" gang on set emerged earlier this week, fans began speculating about "Girl Meets World" casting possibilities.
HuffPost can now exclusively confirm that William Daniels, who played Mr. Feeny on "Boy Meets World" for seven years, will be returning for the sequel, while Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter) and Will Friedle (Eric Matthews) were just visiting.
Created by Michael Jacobs, "Girl Meets Word" will center on original "Boy Meets World" stars Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga's (Danielle Fishel) journey as they wade their way through parenthood with their daughter Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and son Elliot (Teo Halm).
Although Daniels is one of the only confirmed originals, there's hope for other former cast members.
"We sat down with them and talked about what their roles on the show may be," Jacobs told The Hollywood Reporter about the former "Boy Meets World" cast.

‘Shawn’ & ‘Eric’ stopped by the ‘Boy Meets World’ spin-off! Will they also guest star on the Disney Channel series?
Excuse me while I recover from my heart exploding. Rider Strong and Will Friedle — who played Shawn Hunter and Eric Matthews, respectively, on Boy Meets World — stopped by the set of Girl Meets World on March 20 to pay a visit to the newbies. And the newbies freaked out accordingly.
“Rider Strong and Will Friedle visited us!” Rowan Blanchard — who plays Riley, aka the Girl — tweeted, along with the above photo. “Oh My Gosh.” Rider and Will posed alongside Rowan and Sabrina Carpenter, who plays Riley’s “edgy” friend Maya.
Sadly, Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel were not included the family portrait — presumably because no single photograph could handle that much beautiful nostalgia.
Update: It has been brought to my attention that Maitland Ward, who played Eric and Jack’s roommate Rachel,...

Disney Channel’s Boy Meets World spinoff is looking for more young stars.
The production has started the casting process for two more roles now that producers have figured out who’s playing Riley, the daughter of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga Matthews (Danielle Fishel) in the pilot (that would be 11-year-old Rowan Blanchard). Plus, we now have a detailed description of Cory and Topanga’s son — Elliott. Also, in case you missed it, we just broke the casting of Riley’s best friend Maya, so check out that story too.
The new characters are:
– Elliott Matthews, 13. Cory and Topanga’s son.

Since Disney Channel announced that it’s developing a spinoff to ABC’s 1990s classic Boy Meets World, fans of the series have been jumping at any information they can get.
The spinoff, called Girl Meets World, will be told through the eyes of 13-year-old Riley, the daughter of former teen lovebirds Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel).
The initial announcement left viewers excited yet hesitant — and asking a lot of questions. Would Savage and Fishel reprise their roles? Would the series capture the feel of the original? Would other beloved characters, such as Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong), Eric Matthews (Will Friedle) and Mr. Feeny (William Daniels), make triumphant returns?
It’s since been reported that Savage and Fishel will return, and Boy Meets World co-creator and executive producer Michael Jacobs will oversee the spinoff. In a thank-you note to fans,...

The good news: Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel have officially signed on to reprise their roles as Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence in Girl Meets World, Disney Channel’s hotly anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff/sequel.
The bad news: In all likelihood, Rider Strong, who played the show’s third lead — trailer-park-kid-with-a-heart-of-gold Shawn Hunter — will not be joining them.
“Boy Meets World was a defining aspect of my life, and I cherish those seven years,” he said in a statement. “So I am extremely happy for Ben and Danielle to be able to continue the story. At this point, I...

Fans of Boy Meets World, here's something to get excited about: Cory and Topanga are back.
TV Line reports that Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel, who played the iconic couple of Cory Matthews and Topanga Lawrence on the seminal 90s television series Boy Meets World, have signed on to reprise their roles on the Disney Channel's sequel series, Girl Meets World. Instead of being told through Cory's perspective, as the previous show was, audiences will see Girl Meets World through the eyes of Riley Matthews, the 13-year-old daughter of Cory and Topanga. That role has yet to be filled, but a nationwide search is reportedly underway.
Savage and Fishel's return is great news for fans who may have been a bit skeptical about the announcement of this new series. With the advancement of technology, shows like Home Improvement and Boy Meets World that had a sort of home-grown aspect to...

A whole generation of viewers watched Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) grow up before their eyes week after week for seven seasons on the television show Boy Meets World. Now it looks like a brand new generation will get to watch another Matthews child deal with their awkward teenage years as Screen Rant is reporting The Disney Channel is currently developing a sequel aptly titled Girl Meets World, focusing on Cory and Topanga’s daughter.
The better news here is that both Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are in talks to reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga, giving us a fresh look into past characters as well as the new characters introduced through their daughter. Could we also see Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), Will Friedle (Eric Matthews), or even William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) reprise their roles as well and pop in to let viewers know where they are in their lives now?...

Miss Congeniality, released in 2000, was filmed in New York City and San Antonio, but mostly in Austin. I recall it was a big deal when they filmed the movie in town because they closed down a section of Congress, and people attempted to catch a glimpse of the stars around town.
The Sandra Bullock feature has her playing FBI agent Gracie Hart, assigned to a team investigating a threat to the Miss United States pageant. Benjamin Bratt plays her colleague/team leader/love interest Eric Matthews, who decides Hart will go undercover at the beauty pageant. Overseeing her entry into the pageant world is Michael Caine, who camps it up in this movie. Candice Bergen is the pageant -- er, scholarship program -- coordinator, and Heather Burns almost steals the show as a clueless Miss Rhode Island.

Cardinal once was a big fish in a small corner of the indie-rock pond, thanks to Richard Davies and Eric Matthews being pegged as innovators of modern-day orch-pop. The group’s 1994 debut received the kind of reverential accolades—from, among others, The Flaming Lips, who later acted as Davies’ backing band—that would make many artists just want to leave well enough alone. Davies and Matthews, who parted ways in the mid-’90s to explore uneven solo careers, also didn’t get along, and their improbable reunion seemed doomed a few years ago when the old artistic struggles that ...

There’s some boy band flavor coming to CSI: NY, and if you couldn’t tell from the headline the band is the New Kids on the Block reports Entertainment Weekly. The youngest member of the group, Joey McIntyre, will guest star on an episode of NY and get himself in a very hairy situation. He will literally turn into a giant hair monster and go on a killing spree. Okay that was a lie. What he will be doing is playing a guy by the name of Ray, who finds himself involved in a shooting that results in the death of a CSI agent. I can’t say for sure whether McIntyre is the one who fires the deadly shot; there could be other people present that we don’t know about yet. But just being a part of it is bad enough. If I were a betting man...

We've seen "ThunderCats" character designs, "ThunderCats" toys, and even a trailer for the upcoming reboot of the "ThunderCats" animated series, but one thing we haven't heard much about so far is the voice cast — specifically, the actors voicing key players like Lion-o and his grizzled mentor, Panthro.
When MTV News spoke with "The Cleveland Show" cast member Kevin Michael Richardson during a recent Fox press event, the accomplished voice actor ran through a list of some of his upcoming projects and one particular title caught our ear: "ThunderCats." Asked about the project, the actor revealed that he's voicing the nunchuk-wielding veteran, Panthro, and dropped the name of the actor voicing Lion-o, too.
"I love Panthro, so to play him, yeah I'm very very happy," Richardson told MTV News. "The state of the art animation they have today is... That's exactly what it is — state of the art."
It's worth noting...

Seven movies in six years. If nothing else, that's an amazing turnaround that the "Saw" franchise should be quite pleased with. Indeed, the seventh entry into the franchise — titled "Saw 3D" — lands in theaters today, once again bringing Jigsaw's terrible torture devices to theatergoers just in time for Halloween!
But after seven films, you'll have to forgive the "Saw" series if it's gotten a little bit, well, convoluted. If you thought it was all about bear trap masks and severed feet, you've been missing out on one heck of a horrifyingly complicated mythology.
But not to worry, we've got your back. After the jump, check out some snapshot synopses of the previous "Saw" films to catch you up in time for "Saw 3D"!

Stop us if you've heard this one: Two men are trapped inside a dilapidated bathroom with instructions to kill the other man, which they must do if they want to survive.

It is easy to underestimate the Saw franchise. As the series has progressed, each instalment has received less and less critical attention as it is presumed to have degraded to Jason Takes Manhattan levels of craptitude.
The truth is, however, that the six (going on seven) films in the Saw series have achieved something no other horror franchise could have dreamed of: $738,465,450 worldwide.
While I am the first to admit that the more recent instalments have wavered in quality, they are buckling under a dense, convoluted plot rather than nuking the fridge with a space-set adventure (Jason X, Leprechaun: In Space) or post-modern metafilm (Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Scream 3, Halloween: Resurrection). Instead, the producers continue to craft intricate and comparatively competent installments on a yearly basis.

Our look back at the Saw franchise continues, with the ultra-violent franchise instalments Saw III and Saw IV…
This article contains spoilers.
Is it serendipity or just convenient division that brings together Saw III and Saw IV in the second part of this retrospective series? Quite aside from being many things to fans of the series, the midpoint, the fulcrum or the point where it all went wrong, they're two films that take place simultaneously with each other in the series' timeline.
The story so far, as we discovered yesterday, brings us to the beginning of Saw III with Amanda abducting Dr. Lynn Denlon (Bahar Soomekh). Jigsaw's condition is deteriorating, and he must stay the course and keep hold of his mortal coil until the conclusion of his latest game. Bereaved father Jeff (Angus Macfadyen) is the subject, going through a series of rooms and passing judgement on different victims.

With Saw 3D set to appear in cinemas, we take a timely look back at the franchise’s long, gory history, starting with Saw and Saw II…
This article contains spoilers.
Hello, readers. I want to play a game. For years, we have watched others suffer through the indignities of increasingly elaborate and illogical traps every Halloween. The suffering compounded, after the initial outings, into a soap opera of gore and twisty-turny plot bits. Now, you're going to have to read about how I watched them all again before the final indignity hits the big screen on Friday. Let the game begin.
No, there's no get-out clause in that little introduction, as so few of the traps in the latter Saw movies actually have those. You can click the Back button if you like, of course, but otherwise I'm presuming that you're here because you're interested in Saw, as I am.
