Debbie has published numerous short stories in horror anthologies and has written audio dramas for the 60s classic soap, Dark Shadows, one of which was nominated for a Scribe Award.
Debbie has a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Stonecoast at the University of Southern Maine and is a proud graduate of Clarion West, Class of 2004.
In 2015 Debbie started a comic book publishing company called Kymera Press. It started with her graphic novel Gates of Midnight, which won the Irwin Award for the best graphic novel of the year, and grew until the company had had five titles. All artists and writers of these comic books are women. Debbie has dedicated Kymera Press to presenting strong, women protagonists with realistic bodies while also giving female artists and writers a safe place to practice their craft.
Other notable titles are Pet Noir, which was nominated for a Scribe Award by the International Association of Tie-In Writers, Ivory Ghosts, which can be found in the Smithsonian National Natural History Museum gift shop, and Mary Shelley Presents Tales of the Supernatural, for which writer Nancy Holder won the Bram Stoker Award.
