VH1 Orders Reality Series
VH1 has ordered a new reality series “Girls Cruise” starring Lil’ Kim. The rapper will also executive produce the series for Big Fish Entertainment. The show will also star Chilli from the 1990s girls group TLC, as well as international pop star Mýa, Pretty Vee and B. Simone of MTV’s “Wild N’ Out,” and their longtime best friends Tiffany and Char.

Per the network: “As they travel through the Caribbean, the crew hits the high seas on an epic journey filled with hilarious adventures, emotional breakthroughs and spicy romances as they cultivate bonds and unapologetically live their best lives.”

Lil’ Kim, whose legal name is Kimberly Denise Jones, made history as the first woman in hip-hop to have three consecutive Billboard #1 singles.

VH1 has ordered Girls Cruise, a new reality series starring and executive produced by Grammy winner Lil’ Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Denise Jones, from Big Fish Entertainment, an MGM company. Also starring are TLC’s Chilli, singer-songwriter Mýa, Wild N’ Out stars Pretty Vee and B. Simone, and their long-time best friends Tiffany and Char. It’s set to premiere Monday, July 15 at 9 Pm Et/Pt on VH1. Check out the show’s promo below.

In Girls’ Cruise, Lil’ Kim and her celebrity friends embark on a vacation of a lifetime in the series described as one of self-exploration and sisterhood. VH1 today announced today that Gabrielle Union will honor her mother at its annual “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” special.

She joins previously announced participant Colin Kaepernick, as well as Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Anthony Anderson and VH1 fan favorite, actress, and New York Times best-selling author La La Anthony, who will return as this year’s hosts. “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” will take place at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California and will premiere on Monday, May 7th at 9 Pm Et/Pt.

VH1 today announced its annual “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” will premiere on Monday, May 7th at 9 Pm Et/Pt.

Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Anthony Anderson will return as host for the third time alongside VH1 fan favorite, actress, and New York Times best-selling author La La Anthony.

“Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” honors mothers with celebrity guests paying tribute to the women who have shaped their success. Past A-listers who have saluted the leading women in their lives include Alicia Keys, Will Smith, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland, Robin Thicke, Chris Paul and Maxwell.

“Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms” will take place at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, California.

Anthony Anderson, La La Anthony Return to Host VH1’s ‘Dear Mama’ Special
“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson and actress-host La La Anthony will get ample brownie points with mom this year, as the pair return to VH1 to host “Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms.”

The annual special — which in case it is unclear, is to commemorate Mother’s Day — brings back both personalities to help superstars salute their matriarchs. This year’s installment will tape at Downtown L.A.’s Ace Hotel Theater, and air on May 7 at 9 p,m.

Previous guests (and their moms) include Alicia Keys, Will Smith, Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, DJ Khaled, Kelly Rowland and Maxwell.

Amy Doyle, Garrett English, Elena Diaz and Andria Parides are producing for VH1, with Joe Buoye as head of production.
