It’s music video night in the ballroom, so everyone’s job was to find inspiration from certain pop culture hits to get a smile out of guest judge Paula Abdul. Turns out it wasn’t that hard; Abdul doled out lots of 9s and 10s!

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 is back and it’s a bit different Season 31 — including having a new (old) home. Here’s everything to know about the season.
Where is “Dancing with the Stars” Season 32 airing?
ABC and Disney+. That’s right. After one season exclusively on Disney+, “Dancing” returned to ABC for Season 32, which will also stream live on Disney+. It is the first series to be simulcast on ABC and Disney+. Episodes will also be available the next day on Hulu.
“I’m very happy we’re back on ABC,” Derek Hough told TV Insider in June. “I think it was fantastic that we moved to Disney+ for a season. It did great, but I think that there’s definitely [still] an audience on ABC, a very loyal audience that may have missed out on last season. It’s groundbreaking in that I’ll be on both platforms as the same time.

The Dancing with the Stars ballroom honors iconic music videos for a night of fun as the remaining celebrity couples and their pro partners tackle some of the most memorable tunes in music video history. Paula Abdul is a triple threat; here’s the credentials she brings to the judging table

Video may have killed the radio star, but it’s birthing Music Video Night on “Dancing with the Stars.”
With guest judge Paula Abdul behind the judges’ table, the top eight couples will perform to songs from some of the most iconic music videos of all time on Tuesday. Where’s “Trl” when you need it? And if you’re thinking Jason Mraz should do one of his own videos, well, no dice. After the individual dances, they’ll split into quartets for the team dance — and there’s a very obvious split this time: the four oldest celebs vs. the four youngest.

The nine remaining couples on “Dancing With the Stars” hit the dance floor in costume as vampires, werewolves and skeletons on Tuesday night, which also happened to be Halloween.
The season’s first dance marathon gave the points edge to Marvel star Xochitl Gomez, who had been tied at the top of the leaderboard with “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix after their solo dances.
For her gothic Argentine Tango, Madix was a harpy and Pasha Pashkov was a harpy slayer as they danced to an instrumental version of “Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish. Guest judge Niecy Nash proclaimed it was “amazing” and “so beautiful,” adding, “I am obsessed with you.”Bruno Tonioli raved, “This is how you do it!” of the note-perfect dance. Carrie Ann Inaba told Pons, “I think you have what it takes to win it.

It’s monster night on Dancing with the Stars, but I can tell you what wasn’t the least bit freaky in this week 6 episode: that bitchen, skull mirror ball hanging over the ballroom! Also not scary: guest judge Niecy Nash-Betts without a pair of Spanx on her hips; the Emmy-nominated star of Netflix’s Dahmer – Monster (get the connection to Monster Night?) claimed that she made the frightening decision to forgo the Lycra before before dressing up as Jessica Rabbit.
Speaking of which, where was your costume, host Alfonso Ribeiro? Co-host Julianne Hough came gussied up as some hooded widow, but you donned a serious, all-black dress shirt, tie and suit. Were you disguised as a member of the AMPTP negotiating committee? Now that would be scary.

It’s been six months beloved judge Len Goodman passed, but Dancing with the Stars isn’t ready to say goodbye just yet.
Though Tuesday’s theme was Most Memorable Year, the Week 5 episode was really meant to honor Goodman, who died from prostate cancer in April at the age of 78. On past “Disney” nights on Dancing with the Stars, producers have opted to skip eliminating anyone from the competition because why eliminate anyone on such a magical evening? Alas, that wasn’t the case this year. Even though they weren’t the lowest scoring duo of the night, NFL running back Adrian Peterson and pro partner Britt Stewart were sent home after earning 21 points for doing a Viennese Waltz to Baby Mine from Dumbo. Two other couples were in jeopardy — Barry Williams (The Brady Bunch) and Peta Murgatroyd, who earned 18 points after making a misstep during their jazz, and, surprisingly, YouTuber Lele Pons and Brandon Armstrong, who scored 22 points for their Rumba. Two out of the last three couples not called safe aren’t necessarily in the bottom two, but they don’t know for certain whether they are or not. “It’s never, ever easy to be in that position,...

For a minute, I wasn’t sure if the latest episode of Dancing with the Stars was a tribute to Hyundai’s Ioniq 5 or a celebration of Disney’s 100th. Looks it was a whole lot of both! Ah, the magic of product placement.
It felt like an opportunity lost, though, not putting judge Bruno Tonioli in the middle of that rousing opening number to Encanto‘s “We don’t talk about Bruno.” But Tonioli still got to show off his chest hair at the end of dance, so all was not lost.
On with Disney 100 night!

When tasked with dancing jazz, Williams said he comes well prepared: He starred in a Broadway staging of Pippin back in the ’70s that was directed and choreographed by Bob Fosse. It’s that time of the year again: Disney synergy on “Dancing with the Stars.” The top 11 couples will perform to tunes from Disney films on Tuesday’s Disney100 Night. Not to be confused with regular Disney Night or Disney+ Night. Disney100 Night is special because it’s the 100th anniversary of Disney… but nothing’s really different.
But there is a more equitable distribution of dances this week. Gone are, like, six foxtrots or seven cha-chas. No dance style will be performed more than twice on Tuesday, which will also see the season debut of jazz, paso doble, Viennese waltz, waltz and contemporary.

Alyson Hannigan and Sasha Farber: jazz (“Be Our Guest” from “Beauty and the Beast”)

This article contains spoilers for the Oct. 10 episode of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Singer Jason Mraz who was tied at the top of the leaderboard last week, earned the first “9”s of the season on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” Later in the show, “Vanderpump Rules” star Ariana Madix, who danced in flats due to a possible unrevealed injury, was shocked to also be given two “9”s and two “8” scores.
Mraz and partner Daniella Karagach shook it up for Motown Night with a spirited Jive to “Do You Love Me” by The Contours. Carrie Ann Inaba called it “brilliant,” while Derek Hough raved that Mraz made the dance look “effortless.” Tonioli gushed that it was “like watching a scene from a movie.”

It’s Motown Night on “Dancing with the Stars” this week and nothing says “Motown” more than… Michael Strahan. The “Good Morning America” co-anchor will guest-judge the remaining 12 couples’ routines to soul hits.
Prepare yourself for a whole lotta foxtrots. Half of the dances are foxtrots and the other six are two quicksteps, one cha-cha, one tango, one rumba and one jive. Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach have the jive, marking the second consecutive week they are the only couple assigned a particular dance style (last week was rumba). Tptb are really testing out his extra vertebrae, huh?
After sitting out last week due to Covid-19, Artem Chigvintsev is back in the ballroom this week with Charity Lawson.

“Dancing With the Stars” kicked off Latin night on Tuesday in week 2 of the season 32 competition, and the 13 stars still standing — along with their pro partners — brought their very best to the ballroom.
The second week of competition proved to be a particular challenge for the couples, with a focus on Latin routines that required a bit more style, speed and physicality. As always, some celebs shined bright as standout talents, while others stumbled hard.
After two hours of passionate and greatly improved dances, it was up to America to vote on who deserved to perform once more next week, and whose time was already up.
In the end — through a combination of judges scores and audience votes — two couples were determined to be in jeopardy: Jamie Lynn Spears and Alan Bersten, as well as Adrian Peterson and Britt Stewart.

Latin Night saw a lot of missteps on “Dancing With the Stars,” but also some very sexy Sambas, Salsas and Rumbas. Actress Xochitl Gomez and singer Jason Mraz tied at the top of the leaderboard with 24 points each.
Marvel star Xochitl joked that with a name like hers, people would expect she was “born knowing how to Salsa,” but that it wasn’t true. “Salsa is your superpower,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba, who compared her to Egot singer, actress and dancer Rita Moreno. Derek Gough gushed, “Your spins are out of control,” calling her performance “exceptional,” while Bruno Tonioli proclaimed it “superb.”
Singer Jason Mraz, a surprise breakout dance star in Week 1, had the last dance of the evening, a romantic Rumba with Daniella Karagach. Derek raved, “You nailed it.”

“Dancing With the Stars” Season 32 kicked off right on schedule on Tuesday night, with all 15 couples, even temporary holdout actor Matt Walsh, hitting the dance floor for the first time.
“Bachelorette” star Charity Lawson and partner Artem Chigvintsev earned the highest score of the evening for their Tango, which judge Bruno Tonioli proclaimed to be “exquisite,” while Carrie Ann Inaba said it was “stunning,” especially for Week 1.
Charity took the lead from singer Jason Mraz, whose Cha-Cha-Cha with Daniella Karagacha to his own song, “I Feel Like Dancing,” prompted Bruno to dub him “the one to watch.” Jason, who claimed his higher-than-average dancing skills were due to an “extra vertebra,” earned a “7” from each judge.
After the audience votes were added, “Rhobh” star Mauricio Umansky and “Veep” star Matt Walsh were in the bottom two. Matt’s “non-traditional” Cha-Cha-Cha with partner Koko Iwasaki received a “4,” from each judge, a decision the audience booed.

“Dancing with the Stars” is back on ABC and some things just stay the same: if a celebrity has a song or is associated with a song, they will likely perform to it for their first dance.
ABC has unveiled the 14 dance styles and songs for Tuesday’s Season 32 premiere, and would you be shocked to learn that Jason Mraz is dancing the cha-cha to one of his own songs? And that the song is “I Feel Like Dancing”? Similarly, Barry Williams will perform a foxtrot to “It’s a Sunshine Day” by The Brady Bunch. Gotta get these outta the way. Mraz is one of six stars who will make their “Dancing” debut with the cha-cha. Williams, however, is the only one doing the foxtrot. Four couples have the tango, Two have the salsa and one has the jive.
