(1990s) With fellow actor Andrew Powdermaker founded the Aspect Theatre Company, which presented staged readings of old and new plays, some unpublished, primarily at the Sulzer Branch Public Library in Chicago. Some of the plays: William Hanley's "Slow Dance on the Killing Ground," William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing," Lee Blessing's "A Walk in the Woods" (starring Hissong as a Soviet diplomat) and George Crowe's adaptation of the Howard Fast novel about John Peter Altgeld, "The American."
