My passion for crafting and assembling visual stories grew from my childhood pastime of taking things apart and putting them back together. I remember being a curious seven year old, dissecting a computer with my father, in hopes of discovering something new during the reassembly. As I've grown, I've focused my engineering mind to the pursuit and study of film and video post production.
Taking off in 2012, my professional career began at New Dominion Pictures, where I operated as the Post Production Supervisor. My responsibilities included building the post department from the ground up, managing all media and staff for the long form episode series, overseeing the day-to-day post department duties, and daily communication with the executive producer, creative directors & production team. By my second year, I was named an executive with the company, and helped to double the production output.
Since early 2018, I have continued to strengthen my post production muscles as a Senior Editor and Colorist for the international ABC Affiliate, CBN. In my second year I was awarded the President's award for "innovation, integrity and excellence," becoming the first editor to receive this award in under five years. I've also been given the nickname "Sniper" because I like to zero on problems and fix them as quickly as possible.
Currently , I am working as a Post Production Supervisor at Tyler Perry Studios, overseeing nearly 100 episodes of television.
I believe my experience speaks to my ability to not only rise to each creative challenge, but also to be an invaluable asset to every team I am on. I prioritize collaboration and always work hard for my team. As someone who understands both the macro and micro of production workflow, who continually studies industry trends, who is a team builder and eager collaborator, I always strive to bring a lot to the table.
