Pitcher taken by the Atlanta Braves in the 22nd round of the 2005 MLB draft out of Riverside (CA) Community College. The Braves had such hopes for Hanson, they released future Hall of Famer
Tom Glavine in June of 2009 to make room for him. Hanson was 49-35, with 648 strikeouts in 123 games and a 3.80 ERA in 5 seasons with the Braves and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
