Exclusive: Jason Isaacs, Barkhad Abdi, and Adan Canto have signed on for Agent Game, an indie spy thriller which is being directed by Grant S. Johnson. The new additions are joining previously announced cast Dermot Mulroney, Katie Cassidy, Rhys Coiro, Annie Ilonzeh, and Mel Gibson.

In the film, CIA officer Harris (Mulroney) is involved in missions to detain and relocate foreign nationals for interrogation. When Harris’ superior (Isaacs) is murdered, he finds himself the scapegoat for the killing of a detainee (Abdi) and must run from a team of operatives sent to bring him in, led by a ruthless double agent (Ilonzeh). Gibson plays a rogue intelligence official running the off-book operation to hunt down and kill Harris.

Tyler W. Konney is producing the film, which he co-wrote with Mike Langer. Taylor & Dodge is handling worldwide sales.

Inspirational Pic ‘Triumph’ Scores Cinemark Release; Quiver Distribution Books ‘The Retreat’ For May
Brett Leonard’s Triumph, the inspirational wrestling movie starring Rj Mitte and Terrence Howard and inspired by screenwriter Michael D. Coffey’s true story, has set a deal with distributor Relativity Media, United Cerebral Palsy and Cinemark to release the pic in 200 theaters nationwide beginning April 30.

Breaking Bad alum Mitte stars as a bright and determined high school senior who strives to be a wrestler despite having cerebral palsy. Going to extreme lengths, he crushes obstacles and inspires others along his journey. Colton Haynes, Grace Victoria Cox and Jonathon Schaech also star in the film that was in mix during the 2019 American Film Market.

The Map Group’s Massimiliano Musina, Digital Ignition Entertainment’s Michael Clofine and Coffey are producers, with Howard and Mitte executive producing alongside Jonathan Bross of Argonaut Entertainment Partners, Mira Howard, Raz Winiarsky, Tyler W. Konney and Gabrielle Tuite.

Quiver Distribution Lands Action Thriller ‘Money Plane’ Starring Adam Copeland & Kelsey Grammer
Exclusive: Quiver Distribution has secured the North American distribution rights to Money Plane, the Andrew Lawrence-helmed action starring WWE Superstar Adam “Edge” Copeland, Denise Richards, Thomas Jane, and Emmy award winner Kelsey Grammer. Co-written by Lawrence and Tim Schaaf, the film will fly into digital platforms on July 10.

The plot follows Jack Reese (Copeland), a professional thief who’s $40 million in debt. Underworld kingpin Darius Emmanuel Grouch (Grammer) offers to forgive his debt if Reese will commit one final heist – rob a futuristic airborne casino filled with the world’s most dangerous criminals. If he fails, his family’s lives are on the line.

Lawrence also co-stars along with Katrina Norman and Patrick Lamont Jr.

President of Taylor & Dodge’s Tyler W. Konney and Richard Switzer, who previously collaborated on Black Water, starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, produced the pic. The rights deal was negotiated by Quiver’s Larry Greenberg with Konney.

Exclusive: Five-time Emmy-winner Kelsey Grammer, Thomas Jane, and Denise Richards have signed on to co-star opposite Adam Copeland (a.k.a WWE’s Edge) in the heist thriller, Money Plane, directed by Andrew Lawrence.

Co-written by Lawrence and Tim Schaaf, the indie follows a professional thief (Copeland) who must rob an underworld criminal casino on an airplane to settle a debt with his ruthless employer (Grammer). While the heist unfolds in midair, the second man on the ground (Jane) uncovers a sinister double cross that threatens everything.

Richard Switzer and Tyler W. Konney are producing the pic with and executive producers Jason Cherubini and Alexander Ferguson. Taylor & Dodge is handling worldwide sales.

Saban Films acquires 'Black Water'

Distributor plans to release action-thriller in Q2 2018.

Saban Films has picked up North American rights to Pasha Patriki’s Black Water starring Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren.

The action-thriller marks the fifth collaboration between Van Damme and Lundgren and follows a framed secret operative who enlists the help of a fellow prisoner and an amateur agent as he attempts to escape from a CIA submarine.

Chad Law wrote Black Water based on a story by Law, Konney and Richard Switzer and is produced by Jason Cherubini, Alexander Ferguson, Tyler W. Konney and Switzer for Dawn’s Light Productions.

Saban Films plans a Q2 theatrical release. Patriki served as executive producer along with David Allen, Patrick DePeters, Eric Fischer, Matthew Helderman, Law, Joe Listhaus, Luke Taylor, and Viviana Zarragoitia.

Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren will be on the same side for the first time in their action filled careers, with the two almost-iconic action stars will co-star in the upcoming action thriller Black Water. The screenplay was written by Chad Law and the search is on for a director to steer the project.
