He was awarded the Life-Peerage (Baron or Lord) of Brentford, a Fellow of the Royal Society, and an FBA before being awarded the CH (Member of the Order of Companion of Honour) in the 2017 Queen's Birthday Honours List for his services to Economics, International Relations and Tackling Climate Change in Midhurst, West Sussex, England.
