Joe Fenstermaker, born Jeffrey Fenstermaker, is a documentary film editor who graduated from Hampshire College in 2009. After editing documentary film in New York City for five years, he moved to Los Angeles, California where he currently lives and works. Joe has worked as an assistant editor with noteworthy directors; Alex Gibney, Morgan Neville, Lydia Tenaglia, Alison Ellwood and Brett Morgen on numerous award winning feature length documentary films and TV series. In January 2013, Joe attended the Sundance film festival in support of 'History of the Eagles Part One' and 'We Steal Secrets The Story of Wikileaks,' two films that he worked on. Joe additionally directs and edits his own documentary films, previously completing films about Quakerism and Green Man which screened at Anthology Film Archives and The Maysles Institute. Linda Fenstermaker, Joe's sister, is also a graduate of Hampshire College and is an experimental filmmaker based in Seattle.
