Juan Cardenas, originally from Venezuela, is a bilingual actor, producer, director, and writer with a strong theater background. Juan discovered his creative vein during his early teens in the music scene which later led him to the world of theater and film.
He attended the Terry Schreiber Studio in 2011 and the Matthew Corozine Studio in 2015 in NYC and has been working between theater and film ever since.
In 2018 he co-produced, co-wrote, and co-starred in the award-winning short film The Minimalist (2018). Then in 2021, he released his award-winning, and directorial debut short film Transference (2021), an official selection for the Chelsea Film Festival.
In 2023, Juan portrayed renowned neuroscientist Moran Cerf in the world premiere of the New York Times featured play - Bioadapted: GPT-4 on Trial at CultureLab LIC by Transforma Theatre and directed by Tjasa Ferme.
Juan will be seen in the upcoming feature films Patterns, directed by Dawn Davis, and Her Choices, directed by Yeniffer Behrens.
