Hydéia Harvey was born on October 18, 1996, in the small town of Dover, Delaware. From early childhood, dancing, rapping, and filming, all became important facets of her youth and transition into young adulthood, along with a mid-childhood move to Charlotte, North Carolina. She grew up fascinated with film, television, and art in its' entire form and learned to get involved with what she liked best. From middle school band class to old YouTube videos, Hydéia dove head first in art, determined to find her level ground. In her senior year of high school she joined the Weekly News team as a Lead Producer, Writer, and Editor. After she graduated high school in June 2015, she left for Washington, DC to attend Howard University (2015-2019) and study Film and Television Production. Her post grad plans include creating a platform for artists like herself to tell their own stories accurately by screenwriting and directing her own films. She wants to create stories and give light to everyday "characters" of life that go overlooked or misunderstood. She believes individuality and perception is the reason everyone is different, yet, still able to be understood. She says it's "because we're all apart of one incredibly dense picture."
