Peter O'Toole, the star of David Lean's 1962 classic "Lawrence of Arabia," has passed away at the Wellington hospital in London. He was 81 years old. "His family are very appreciative and completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of real love and affection being expressed towards him, and to us, during this unhappy time. Thank you all, from the bottom of our hearts," said daughter Kate O'Toole. "Lawrence of Arabia" was one of the actor's first movies and continues to be his most famous project of his career, which consists of over sixty films, including "The Lion in Winter," "Goodbye, Mr. Chips" and "My Favorite Year." O'Toole never won an Oscar, but has been nominated eight times. He was eventually honored with an Academy Honorary Award in 2003 for his lifetime achievement in film. Outside of the Oscars, the actor won four Golden Globs and an Emmy.
