Last of Humanity Lives in Antarctica Cities in Short Film Similo

This stunning 23-minute short written and directed by filmmaking team Miguel de Olaso and Bruno Zacarías who say the film started as a simple yet ambitious idea: to make a realistic science fiction love story.

The film that emerges is the thoughtful Similo which deals with many issues including climate change, wealth concentration, consumerism and human isolation.


2065. The polar ice caps have melted. The entire planet is hit by the effects of climate change. One of the few places that remain habitable is Antarctica, where big corporations have built private cities.

Hebe and Ciro get back together again. She is looking for love. He is searching for his own identity.
