Fans don't have to worry that FX will cancel The Strain TV show, but only because in September of 2016, the cable network announced the last renewal was for a fourth and final season. Although the show is ending, we're still tracking the ratings because it's fun, and because it gives us a benchmark for the performance of other FX TV series. So while we don't have to wonder if The Strain will be cancelled or renewed for season five, stay tuned. Based on the novel trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan, The Strain is a vampire horror drama starring Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Jonathan Hyde, Kevin Durand, Ruta Gedmintas, Miguel Gomez, Richard Sammel, Max Charles, and Rupert Penry-Jones.
