Memento: 10 Differences Between The Short Story And The Film
Christopher Nolan debuted as a director with a low-budget indie psychological thriller called Following, but it was his 2000 mystery drama Memento which put him on the map as a unique storyteller who grabs your attention from start to finish. The Academy Award-nominated screenplay was written by him and directly adapted from his brother Jonathan Nolan's short story. The story Memento Mori, which deals with an amnesiac trying to find his wife's killer, was published in Esquire Magazine after the film's success. Along with Christopher Nolan, Jonathan Nolan also had his tryst with fame writing down the screenplays of Interstellar and The Dark Knight, while creating shows like Westworld.
