‘Candyman,’ ‘Halloween Kills’ releases pushed amid pandemic uncertainty
Universal reschedules four horror titles for later this autumn or next year.

Reflecting ongoing uncertainty about the state of the theatrical market in the pandemic-hit Us, Universal Pictures has pushed back the release dates of films including Jordan Peele’s Candyman and Blumhouse Productions’ Halloween Kills.

Candyman, writer-producer Peele’s new take on the horror legend, produced by MGM and Monkeypaw in association with Bron Creative, moves from September 25 this autumn to a wide opening on October 16.
