The kid-friendly app arrives after something of a checkered history between Google-owned YouTube and Amazon. Following negotiations, YouTube returned to Fire TV roughly four months later.
Other apps followed suit. YouTube’s live linear service, YouTube TV, arrived on Fire TV last September, Techcrunch notes, and YouTube Kids -- which was initially slated to launch on Fire TV in 2019 -- is finally here after a significant delay.
