FilmLA Retracts After-Hours Film Ban Hours After Announcement
Update: 2:45 Pm Pt: Updated with new headline following announcement of ban removal from FilmLA

Hours after announcing that overnight filming in L.A. County would be banned for at least a month, FilmLA released a new memo walking back that ban after further discussions with city and county health officials.

On Wednesday morning, FilmLA informed production companies currently shooting in Los Angeles that filming would have to stop by 10 Pm and that no shooting or setups could take place between 10 Pm and 5 Am each night, in accordance with the Limited Stay-At-Home order issued in California last week.

Four hours later, FilmLA said that they were advised by health officials that such a ban would not be necessary.

“Filmmakers are highly encouraged to stay within those limits, if feasible, and be mindful of community impact while California’s Limited Stay at Home Order is in effect,” FilmLA said in their latest statement.
