Netflix is upping its anime offerings with two new series drawing from the world of Legendary’s monsterverse as well as Square Enix’s Tomb Raider video games.
Legendary Television’s Skull Island will see a group of shipwrecked characters trying to escape a dangerous and mysterious island. Brian Duffield, known for Underwater and The Babysitter, will write and executive produce. Jacob Robinson also executive produces via his Tractor Pants banner. Powerhouse Animation, the studio behind Castlevania, is also behind the project.
The anime series comes after the 2017 feature Kong: Skull Island re-introduced the world to King Kong and comes ahead of March’s upcoming Godzilla vs. Kong movie from Warner Bros. and Legendary....
