Jack Black has been booked to serve as Conan O’Brien’s farewell guest in late night — at least for now. As his TBS show “Conan” ends its run with an hour-long finale on June 24, O’Brien isn’t expected to launch another late night show anytime soon, but instead is focusing on a new series for HBO Max (details to be announced later) and also growing his production company, including its rapidly expanding podcast offerings.
As Black joins O’Brien for the finale, the show will also air an hour earlier than usual, at 10 p.m. Et that evening. Black caps off the final two weeks of guests that include Martin Short, Bill Hader, Mila Kunis, Dana Carvey, Jb Smoove and Patton Oswalt.
In time for the final two weeks of shows, “Conan” will also welcome back a live studio audience for the first time in over a year, to help him end his run.
