
Simon Fuller, the British media entrepreneur who managed the Spice Girls and created American Idol, has formed a new music group via a TikTok hashtag challenge.
Dubbed The Future X, the group consists three singers and four dancers, reports Variety, each of whom “auditioned” last fall by posting videos of themselves using the #NextInMusic hashtag, which generated 300 million views. Fuller told the outlet that The Future X is “the first group ever to be born on TikTok."
Its members are: Angie Green, Luke Brown, Maci Wood, Jayna Hughes, Sasha Marie, Tray Taylor, and Drew Venegas.
