Seyfried started her career as a young model, then moved to recurring roles in soap operas "As the World Turns" and "All My Children".
In 2004, Seyfried made her film debut in the teen comedy "Mean Girls", with more supporting roles in indie films, including "Nine Lives" (2005), crime drama "Alpha Dog" (2006) and a recurring role in Upn TV drama "Veronica Mars" (2004–2006).
