Shirley Ballas Claims DWTS Season 32 Will Only Have Three Judges
Professional dancer Shirley Ballas was speculated to be Len Goodman's replacement on the judging panel of Dancing With The Stars, but she revealed that the reality competition series will only have three judges in DWTS season 32. Head judge Len announced his retirement at the end of DWTS season 31. He served on the judging panel with Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli since the reality competition show's inception in 2005. Derek Hough joined them as a permanent judge in DWTS season 30, after filling in for Len the previous season due to travel restrictions during the Covid-19 pandemic. Because there were four judges, ties during the judges' saves were broken by Len, whose vote counted twice.

In an interview on the British talk show Loose Women, Shirley revealed that she would not be joining the DWTS judging panel as Len's replacement alongside Carrie Ann, Derek, and Bruno.
