National Look for Circles Day is celebrated every November 2nd, an appropriate time to ponder the circular symbolism in "Game of Thrones". The popular TV series has plenty of circle symbolism with an abundance of intriguing places, objects and imagery taking shape in circles, spirals, spheres, cylinders and other circular forms throughout the series run.

Circle symbolism has been around since the dawn of mankind. Circles and their derivatives are universal symbols with extensive meaning. The circle represents the notions of wholeness, totality, the infinite, eternity, timelessness, original perfection, the Self, all cyclic movement, and God. According to Hermes Trismegistus, "God is a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere".
