While we have seen the conclusion of several of those, there are several loose ends in the MCU that are still awaiting a resolution.

    Tim Blake Nelson in The Incredible Hulk (2008)

    The oldest loose end in the MCU goes all the way back to The Incredible Hulk (2008). When Sebastian Stern receives a drop of Bruce Banner's blood and his forehead starts to swell. In the comics Stern is one of the most iconic Hulk villains, The Leader. But the fate of his MCU version remains a mystery.

    At the end of Doctor Strange (2016), Mordo turned evil and started a crusade to strip sorcerers of their magic. While we saw an alternate universe Mordo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), the fate of the original Mordo and his crusade remain unknown.

    Will Poulter in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

    At the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) Ayesha, leader of the sovereign announces that she has created something "more powerful, more beautiful, and more capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy". Fans of the comic book recognized Adam Warlock as the character who would come into play. But despite the expectations that he could play a major roles in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), as he does in the comics, we haven't got any news about him since then.

    Michael Keaton and Michael Mando in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

    At the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Michael Keaton's Vulture meets Mac Gargan, who tells him he and his cronies are looking to take down Spider-Man. In the comics Gargan becomes a villain called The Scorpion, but his storyline in the MCU remains undeveloped.

    Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)

    The Infinity War saga left Starlord without Gamora, and while a new version is around, she is not interested in keeping around with the Guardians. After Endgame, we can see Peter Quill has started searching for his lost love again, but we don't know yet when and how will they meet again.

    Samuel L. Jackson in Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019)

    At the end of Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) we learn that Nick Fury is not actually Nick Fury, but an alien shapeshifter called Talos, and we find out that the real Nick Fury is having a vacation in outer space. We know that Fury will be back on Earth for the Secret Invasion (2023) TV Series, but we still don't know much about his relationship with the skrulls or how will this develop.

    Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olsen in WandaVision (2021)

    After his destruction in Infinity War WandaVision (2021) showed us that the vision was rebuild by the goverment who sought to make him into a weapon. Stripped from his original memories, this white Vision flew away at the end of the series, and his following adventures remain to be known.

    Also in WandaVision we saw Monica Rambeau getting superpowers, and getting recruited by a Skrull on a mission to outer space. What this mission is remains a secret.

    In The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) Sharon Carter gets a pardon and her position as a secret agent for the U.S. goverment back. However as she leaves the building she makes a phone call informing someone that now they have direct access to the goverment. Is Carter double crossing the U.S. or is there something else at play?

    Wyatt Russell in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)

    Also in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier we see John Walker failing to keep the mantle of the Captain America, but taking a new super heroic identity as the U.S. Agent and being recruited by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. What will they do together and how will Walker evolve as a hero remains to be seen. Yelena Belova's Black Widow has also been recruited by Valentina, so a new team appears to be forming here.

    After being freed from Dreykov the Widows aboard the Red Room are freed from their mind control, and they seem to join Taskmaster in a quest to free the rest of their comrades. If they succeed and what do the widows do next remains to be seen.

    Jonathan Majors in For All Time. Always. (2021)

    He Who Remains warning was clear at the end of For All Time. Always. (2021), if he was killed the MCU reality would not be isolated anymore and a multiversal war would start. Despite the warning, Sylvie kills him and as the season ends Loki returns to a Time Variance Authority that doesn't seem to be his own reality, and that seems to be ruled by Kang, one of the greatest Avengers enemies.

    Tim Roth in The Incredible Hulk (2008)

    Unseen since The Incredible Hulk back in 2008, Tim Roth's Abomination made a cameo in Shang-Chi taking part in a battle alongside Wong from Doctor Strange. Tim Roth is slated to appear in the upcoming She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), so we may finally learn what has his character been up to.

    Brie Larson and Mark Ruffalo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

    The post credits scene in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021) has Wong, Carol Danvers and Bruce Banner discovering that the ten rings are acting as a beacon, sending a message to an unkown place and person. Who is this person and what is the message?

    Meng'er Zhang in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)

    Also at the end of Shang-Chi we learn that Xu Xualing has taken the place of her father as leader of the Ten Rings Organization and she states that they have a lot of work to do. What will Xualing do commanding this powerful group?

    Vincent D'Onofrio in Hawkeye (2021)

    Hawkeye (2021) brought the confirmation we needed that the Netflix Defenders series were indeed part of the MCU as Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingping made an appearance. His character was shot offscreen by his daughter Echo, but D'Onofrio is set to appear in the upcoming Echo (2023) series, so we still have a lot to see about this new father-daughter relationship.

    Charlie Cox in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

    The second Defenders surprise appearance in the MCU was Matt Murdock working as Peter Parker's lawyer. Famous as Daredevil (2015), we still have to know how will his character evolve as part of the MCU, and if he will be joined by the rest of the Netflix Marvel heroes cast.

    Tom Holland in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

    Also from Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), the movie ends with Peter Parker making the ultimate sacrifice and having all the world forgetting about him. Peter visits MJ and Ned to recover their relationship, but after seeing they are really happy and he leaves. But that can't be all there is in their relationship can it?

    A final scene from Spider-Man latest film shows Eddie Brock, from the Venom (2018) movies beign transported back to his universe, but leaving a tiny part of his symbiote behind. How will this symbiote create chaos in the MCU?

    The Eternals (2021) were succesfull stopping the emergence of the Celestial that was going to destroy Earth; but that did not end their adventures and three of them were kidnapped by another Celestial, Arishem, who vows to see their memories and judge if humanity is worth of living. Other group of them is in space trying to find more people of their kind when they meet Eros, Thano's brother, who offers his help. What will be this judgement and how will the eternals return?

    At the end of Eternals Dane Whitman uncovers the Ebony Blade, used in the comics by a hero called The Black Knight, while a mysterious voice asks him if he is ready to wield its power. The voice is that of Blade, and the relationship between both of them and the adventures they'll have remain to be seen.

    While Marc Spector and Steve Grant believe they are free of Khonshu influence, the end of Moon Knight (2022) reveals they have a third split personality that allows the egyptian god to continue using them as his avatar, it remains to be seen how this unfolds.

    After defeating the Scarlet Witch, America Chavez stays on Earth and trains to master the mystic arts in Kamar-Taj. The role that Chavez will play in the future and the search for her mothers are two loose ends for this character.

    Also in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), the post credits scene shows us Stephen Strange, having a mysterious third eye, meeting a white haired woman called Clea. She informs him that his activities have caused a multiversal incursion and that they need to fix it. After that both of them jump in a portal taking them to the Dark Dimension, where Strange faced Dormammu in his first movie. What will happen with this incursion and how will Strange and Clea work together?
