Poll: James Cameron = Wasted Talent ?

James Cameron will not be eternal. Since Titanic by the end of 1997, and until the release of Avatar 5 in 2025, it will have been 27 years. 27 years passed on almost only one project. As good as it may be, it could be judged as a waste of talent. Would have you prefer to see James Cameron releasing a stand-on-its-own new movie (maybe not as top quality as Avatar) every 3 years or so instead of seeing him working only on Avatar movies ?

    Jonathan Evans-Jones in Titanic (1997)

Yes, I would have prefer if he could have released a great movie with an always different story every 3 years or so. In other words, I would have prefer if Cameron could have been as prolific as Spielberg or Scorcese for example.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tom Arnold in True Lies (1994)

I am not sure, lets see if the Avatar sequels will each one renew the standard before answering this question. Because if it is the case, James Cameron will have released 4 movies in the 5 years between 2020 and 2025. Better than only one movie in the 21 years between 1998 and 2019.

    Stephen Lang in Avatar (2009)

No, Avatar is a genius idea worth working on for as long as it takes

Robert Patrick in Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)

I do not care. I did not really appreciated his movies before Avatar and I did not enjoyed Avatar either.
