Poll: Actors Considered to Play John McClane in Die Hard
During the long process of bringing the action classic Die Hard to the screen, a significant number of famous stars (of various generations) were mentioned as contenders for the lead part of John McClane before it was eventually won by Bruce Willis, a little-known TV comedy actor at the time. Which of these alternatives would have been best at playing the combination of a tough New York cop who's an admittedly terrible husband, easily moved to tears and responding to most situations with sarcasm that makes for such a memorable protagonist?
