    Fantasia (1940)

    Since hand-drawn animated films are so pretty to look at, and so smooth and flowing, I'd love to see more of them, especially since they're gradually being replaced by computer animation (at least in the West).

    Toy Story (1995)

    Computer animated films are so rich and detailed, with so much room for brilliant color and three-dimensional textures. I think they should keep them coming.

    James and the Giant Peach (1996)

    Stop-motion animation has an unusual, life-like quality to it, and there's something magical about knowing the characters on screen are really there, not just images. Furthermore, stop-motion has always been on the fringes of mainstream animation. The more stop-motion features they make, the better.

    The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926)

    Since there are only a handful of features done in cut-out animated style, and it's such an intriguing medium, with a look halfway between hand-drawn and stop-motion animation, I'd love to see a few more of them. Cut-out animated films have a pretty good track record, too, since there aren't but so many of them.

    ...ere erera baleibu izik subua aruaren... (1970)

    Seeing how there's only been one feature ever made by drawing/painting directly onto film, and it's impossible to get a hold of, I would love to see just one other one, or more, if possible. Seeing something like that on the big screen would be mind-blowing.

    Examples: Ere erera baleibu icik subua aruaren (AKA Scope, Color, Muda). That's it. There are plenty of shorts, but this one is the only feature.

    The Old Man and the Sea (1999)

    I want to see a feature done in a style that's doesn't have a feature yet: paint-on-glass animation, sand animation, pixilation, or pin-screen animation. A feature in any of these styles would be a major milestone.

    Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)

    I'm intrigued by films which combine live action and animation, and have characters from the two mediums interacting with each other. You can do so much with it, from Gene Kelly dancing with Jerry the Mouse to King Kong climbing the Empire State Building.

    The Lord of the Rings (1978)

    I'm interested in rotoscoping, performance capture, or any technique that traces animation over live-action performances. They create such a surreal effect, with animated characters who look almost human, or human characters who look like cartoons, however you want to think of it.

    Winter Days (2003)

    I wish there were some more omnibus animated films, which have different segments using different techniques. Why settle for one style when you can have four or five?
