    #1

BEAUTY (athletic, handsome, sexy...): Yeah, that hurts. We know it is in the eye of the beholder and inner beauty counts too, but so does plain, good old eye-pleasing beauty ... let's face it, they all dream of a tall and handsome man.
  2. Vote!

Christopher Reeve and Margot Kidder in Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut (1980)

**STRENGTH** (protective, athletic, talented...): Sorry, tall, strong and handsome. Actually, it's not much the beauty of the body that counts, but what the guy does with it, whether in terms of protection or athletic/physical prowess.
  3. Vote!

Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly High Noon (1952) / UA 0044706

courAGE (moral, man of honor and integrity...): 'Moral' strength is as much appealing as the physical one, if not more: a guy in a weak position taking the risks, defying and beating the odds, out of principles. Now, that's the 'right stuff'.
  4. Vote!

Matt Damon and Minnie Driver in Good Will Hunting (1997)

1NTELL1GENCE: (understanding, gifted, wise...) Good old 'brawns vs. brains', legends have the 'small guy' beating the big one, and reality has nerds ruling the world. And women favoring intelligence, more than strength and looks. Case closed.
  5. Vote!

Woody Allen and Diane Keaton in Annie Hall (1977)

HuMOr (cheerful, fun, eloquent...): It's actually another strength of the intellect, but one that doesn't take life (or itself) seriously, and sometimes, having a guaranteed comic relief every day is an offer many can't refuse.
  6. Vote!

Charles Chaplin and Virginia Cherrill in City Lights (1931)

-- KINDNESS -- (empathic, generous, romantic...): This is not kindness out of fear of rejection or confrontation, this is just the capability to put yourself in the others' shoes. Perhaps the most valuable quality of all in our self-centered and cynical era.
  7. Vote!

James Dean and Natalie Wood in Rebel Without a Cause (1955)

?MyST¿RY? (rebellious, distant, reserved...) : Heartbreak? Past wounds? Sometimes, the impossibility to define the appeal becomes the appeal. As Lisa would say about Nelson: "he's "like a riddle wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a vest,"
