    Poll: Influential Films

"I created this poll based on academic research. Researchers at Northwestern University analyzed connections data on IMDb and found these 40 films had the greatest influence on future filmmakers. The authors of the research granted me permission to use their research in a poll. I gave them a link to the poll when the poll went live."

Poll: Lesser-Known Author and Auteur Collaborations

"I made this poll with the idea in mind of learning about literature's influence on some of the greatest directors. In that regard, I believe I succeeded. Of course, I do not pretend that this poll taught me how Renoir was influenced by naturalism. It merely put me on the right track. But, if like me, some curious voters were inspired to watch one of the films listed, I have gone beyond my goal."

Poll: United Artists 100th Anniversary Poll's (Beginning of a poll series)

"I like it because I had to wait for several years to make a 100th Anniversary poll for a big studio. I originally had the idea in 2012, and it was going to feature Paramount and Warner. Unfortunately, my idea happened during the dark ages where the IMDb killed the daily poll and they never came to be.

Once our hard work gave us the poll back, I still had to wait six years until another big company celebrated its 100th anniversary, so this poll was a culmination of a long awaited idea, and in my personal case it links the old daily poll days with the new poll, and is a testimony of the years were we refused to forget about this part of the IMDb and how we were able to bring it back."

Poll: Prime Numbered Titles - 11

"My favorite is the Prime Number title series. This was very relevant to what I do in my day to day job and it was a perfect starter for me in poll making. I had to extract titles from IMDb site HTML and write a program to find the list of titles. I used same method for other polls like Fibonacci, Pi size, Isogram."

Because now I am one step closer to people who love comics. It was also the first time my poll has been featured at the IMDb home page. Thank you, IMDb."

    Poll: R.I.P. Sean Connery

It was a very sad occasion and I wrote it with tears in my eyes, so I was deeply honored when it went live. I seldom did something which touched me like that. This poll means the most to me, I think it's my most decent poll."
