In spite of the very inventive imagery, in spite of Daniel Craig performance, what's to say about such a boring movie? Excessively pretentious, we know nothing about Daniel Craig's character, what he was doing in life, what he likes, his life interests. Watching such a toxic relationship develop to the point that both men throw up their heart is sickening. What's gay or queer about that movie except for the fact that some characters have sex together? And really, they don't have sex together. One is having sex while the other wait for the whole thing to be over. Trent Razor's music is abrasive (as usual) and totally unrelated to the movie various locations (Mexico and Ecuador in the 70's). I had seen the boring previous movie of this director. Queer is as boring and does nothing to understand the gay men life experience.
