This is a wonderful show with wonderful actors. The character of Shirley Feeney is toxic. She strung Carmine for years. He even moved to California to be near her. As soon as she met "Mr Right", she dropped him like a hot potatoe. She claimed to be Laverne's best friend. She was always jealous whenever anything good happened to just Laverne and always manipulated Laverne to include her but rarely reciprocated. She always acted stuck up and looked down on anyone who wasn't born with the last name Feeney. When they had a small fire, she only grabbed her valuables then argued when Laverne wanted some of her things. This is only in regards to the character and not Cindy Williams the real person.
