An Angel for Christmas (1996 Video)
9/10
Beautiful and heart-warming
10 September 2012
Possibly the best of the Blye Migicovsky animations, which have been a decidedly mixed bag with The Toy Shop good and The Count of Monte Cristo really quite poor. I loved An Angel for Christmas though. The animation is very nice, a couple of the character designs are on the stiff side but this is occasionally. Most of the time it is very clean and fluid. The music is sweet and catchy, putting you in the festive mood. The writing is a perfect balance, not too sophisticated for children and not too childish for adults, mostly it is humorous with some sweet sentiment. The story is very heart-warming, simple but effective in its simplicity, while the characters have a lot of likability. The voice acting is solid.

Overall, I found An Angel for Christmas a lovely little treasure. 9/10 Bethany Cox
