Triple Survival
11 August 2018
This show is more entertainment than instructional but the guys have great chemistry and each brings something unique to the party. Fans of David Canterbury will note that this is a somewhat different Dave from the show Dual Survival. For both season of Dual Survival, Dave was cast as the "military trained" woodsman and Cody Lundin was the Primitive Skills expert but it seems a lot of Cody rubbed off on Dave. Here Dave sports a ponytail and there is NO mention of his military days and is in fact the "Primitive Skills" expert of the trio. It's Dick Strawbridge that is touted as the military trained engineer who is a retired Colonel from the British Army. John Littlefield rounds out the group as the "builder". A homebuilder by trade with some Hollywood acting under his tool belt as well. My only complaint would be the intentional deception on the creators of this show to have us believe that the guys are traveling these distances over the routes shown. Based on known filming locations of a few episodes like Jersey Devils and Desert Express it is clear that the only traveling done was likely just what was shown. Whether acted, scripted, edited or genuine, the three guys get along great and make for some entertaining guy TV with a good combination of humor and competition.
