- Raised in a strict Christian family, Woody was forbidden to listen to
anything except gospel, and had to listen to R&B music in secret. He
met future Dru Hill band-mate Mark
Sisqó Andrews in middle school, and in 1995, he,
Sisqo, Larry 'Jazz' Anthony, and
'Tamir Nokio Ruffin' founded the group
and began performing around the Baltimore area. Originally a gospel
group, Dru Hill soon moved into R&B, at the chagrin of Woody's mother,
Joan Green, who promptly and literally pulled the 15-year-old out of
the group. Only in reluctance did she allow Woody to rejoin the group,
which was signed to Island Records in 1996.
Woody served as the group's primary songwriter during its early days,
and has always been as the group's most spiritually-grounded member.
While Dru Hill enjoyed mainstream success during the late-1990s, Woody
felt uneasy about leaving gospel music behind. After the group had to
dodge gunshots while on tour in Paris, France, Woody felt convinced
that he needed to leave the group, and quit on the set of the music
video shoot for
Wild Wild West (1999), a
Will Smith song which featured
Dru Hill as guest vocalists.
Dru Hill tried to continue as a trio, but decided that they needed
Woody back in the group. Newly reorganized Island Def Jam Records set
up the "Dru World Order" project, allowing each member to record a solo
album bare the next Dru Hill album was recorded in November 2000. Woody
recorded his debut solo album, Soul Music',' but its release was
continually delayed by Def Jam/ Def Soul, because of the success of
Sisqó's Unleash the Dragon album and its singles.
Woody got a release from Def Jam for his solo deal, and issued Soul
Music on Kirk Franklin's
"Gospocentric Records" in May 2002. The album was moderately successful
within the gospel scene, reaching #5 on the gospel charts. Soul Music
was dedicated to the memory of Woody's mother, who died of cancer the
year before, and features Woody's cover version of her favorite gospel
song, "I Won't Complain".
After the release of Soul Music, Woody returned to Def Soul and
re-joined Dru Hill for the Dru World Order LP. That album's "My Angel"
is a dedication to his mother, and precedes "How Could You", the first
gospel track to appear on a Dru Hill album. - Actor

Aaron's love for filmmaking began at a young age when The Boy Who Could
Fly was filmed at his home in Vancouver, Canada. The film's director,
Nick Castle, befriended the curious six year old and allowed him to be
a part of the process, even inviting Aaron and his family to the
studios where they had built an exact replica of his house and showed
them how they made the people fly in the film. Fascinated by the
process, Aaron soon began writing his own stories with the hope of one
day becoming a film director himself. Aaron started his career in the
film industry as an actor, landing roles on such shows as Davinci's
Inquest and Fox's short lived John Doe, but quickly turned his focus to
behind the camera, where his passion truly lied. An auto-didactic
filmmaker inspired by directors like Stanley Kubrick, Ron Howard and
Christopher Guest, Aaron has written and directed several short films
such as Rousing Doug (Winner of best cast and best film at the
Overnight Success Festival) Schlick Schlims (Official selection,
Yorkton Film Festival) and Two theories, one stone., (Official
selection, Cinequest Film Festival). Aaron has also written and
directed several viral commercials for Nokia, multiple segments for the
Canadian Tourism Commission and won an audience award at the 2009
Eddies Awards for his work as the writer/director of the commercial
Rooster for Big Rock Brewery. As an active member of Vancouver's local
film community, Aaron co-produces the Celluloid Social Club, a monthly
screening event of independent films, and is a co-founder of the Hot
Shots Shorts competition, which gives opportunities to emerging
filmmakers. In his personal life, Aaron spends most of his time raising

Off-network appearances include her recent role on the special holiday premiere episode of Season 2 of Selena Gomez' cook-along show, Selena + Chef available now on HBO Max. Born in India, brought up in Dubai, and educated in a British school, Aarti grew up against a varied tapestry of food cultures that contribute to her cultured palette as well as an extensive spice rack that goes well and beyond any masala dabba, the fundamental Indian spice box. Aarti also likes to joke that her love of food began in the womb (she was a 10-pound baby) and shows no signs of abating. Now she takes her food knowledge, love for cooking, and enthusiasm for sharing information to the masses!
It was during the first Gulf War that Aarti decided to pursue a career in journalism, eventually earning her bachelors degree at Northwestern's prestigious Medill School of Journalism. She went on to work for CNN straight out of school, covering everything from economic reports to the plight of firefighters after 9/11. She also produced Sand and Sorrow, the HBO documentary about the genocide in Darfur, narrated by George Clooney and directed by Peabody Award- winner Paul Freedman. After staging under James Beard Award-winner Suzanne Goin at Lucques, Aarti began shooting a YouTube cooking-variety show, Aarti Paarti, with her husband behind the camera. At the behest of said spouse, she sent an audition video to Food Network Star, and was immediately called in. The rest is history!
Aarti is an ardent advocate for women battling postpartum depression having experienced it herself following the births of each of her two daughters. A passionate Christian, she also speaks to women of faith about overcoming fear and the sacred nature of breaking bread. She lives in Raleigh, NC with her husband, actor Brendan McNamara and daughters Eliyah and Moses.- Aaryn Koia was born on 20 May 1978.
