- An alley-cat, plagued with a bad case of insomnia, reads that the eating of a blackbird is a sure cure. He catches the first blackbird that comes along, which happens to be Buzzy the Crow (not to be confused with Walter Lantz's Buzz Buzzard), who not only talks like Rochester but is nearly as smart as Rochester. Buzzy, smart enough not to want to be eaten, convinces the dumb cat that he has better methods of curing his insomnia, and then proceeds to severely punish the cat with a variety of all painful, sleep-inducing tricks.
- Buzzy the Crow is about to be eaten by a cat but the cat has hiccoughs. Buzzy, of course, has a few home remedies he graciously shares with the cat but none of them cures the cat's problems. In fact, all of them add to the problem. So much so, that all nine lives of the cat goes to heaven...one life at a time.
- Katnip has a cold and reads that eating a fresh crow is a sure cure. Cros didn't come any fresher than Buzzy, and when Katnip spies him ice-skating, he decides to eat him. Buzzy brews up a concoction of pepper, tabasco sauce and mustard, which turn the cat into a fireworks display, and a blazing sun-lamp sets him on fire. The burning cat rushes out into the snow, which melts...and then freezes over him. Buzzy resumes his ice skating.
- A cat is being driven mad --- a short distance --- by an aching wisdom tooth and discovers in the Remedy Book a remedy that requires only the eating of a crow. Katnip inspects his line and decides to change to wire fishing line. All set, he casts out. What a shock when an electric eel decides to bite. The "Angler's Guide" advises: "Bass or snapper, trout or snook, go for crow bait on a hook!" Katnip tries to catch Buzzy for bait. Near the end of the cartoon, Katnip runs afoul of the bulldog who guards the pier where he has been fishing. The dog picks up a harpoon and begins chasing Katnip around a tree and stabbing him in the backside with the harpoon ad nauseam. They have been running around the same tree for so long that, by the cartoon's end, they have literally worn a trench around the tree. Meanwhile, Buzzy is safely reclining in his bird's nest high atop the same tree- sipping on a cocktail and looking down at the melee. Meanwhile, Yogi's friend Cindy has decided to confess her love to Yogi in hopes that he loves her the same way. One day Ranger Smith receives a call from the San Diego Zoo asking if they may have one of the bears from the park. At that exact moment, Yogi barges in his office demanding that the Ranger had better take down all the "Do Not Feed The Bears" signs or he would like to leave the park. The Ranger takes this opportunity to choose Yogi to be sent to the zoo. Yogi doesn't want to go and convinces another bear to take his place. So that the Ranger doesn't find out, Yogi goes into hiding without even informing Boo-Boo of his whereabouts. Cindy tries to find Yogi but stumbles upon a depressed Boo-Boo who fills her in about Yogi and the San Diego Zoo. However, Yogi is very much still at Jellystone and his food scams are working better than ever now that Ranger Smith thinks he is gone. Ranger Smith learns about a bear who calls himself "The Brown Phantom"(Yogi), and announces to the other bears in the park that whoever it is will be sent to the San Diego Zoo. Cindy hears this and in an effort to see Yogi again(whom she still thinks is at the San Diego Zoo), confesses that it was all her doing. Boo-Boo sees her off and within only moments, Yogi appears to him. Boo-Boo tells him that Cindy had herself sent to the zoo, so Yogi goes and explains to the Ranger the whole situation. The Ranger reveals that he actually sent her to the St.Louis Zoo, and at about this time Cindy, who is on a train, is told by other bears of her actually destination.
