- Strange winds from the east blow in some strange behavior. Maggie attacks Joel. Chris saves Maurice's life. Maurice figures out he can't live with it.
- Joel looks forward to a weekend in Juneau, hoping to spend it with attractive female physicians. But, instead, he winds up in a hotel suite with Maggie who clearly cramps his style. Meanwhile, Chris is flustered when Bernard, his "karmic doppelganger", returns from Africa.

- Ed's uncle tells him he needs to be married and has arranged a wife for him. Joel obsesses over Maggie denying they had sex. Holling and Ruth Anne chase after a rare bird.
- Maurice bribes a doctor to get a violinist released as he prepares a big birthday for Barbara.
- House-sitting for Maurice, Ed assumes his personality & throws lavish parties; Holling throws Maggie non-stop curves to buying Barbara's house and Joel feels the need to defend his lifestyle to a placid Marilyn.
- The citizens of Cicely start having strange dreams. They soon realize they're sharing each others dreams. Holling has a revulsion to food.
- It's spring in Cicely and the Annual Mosquito festival is coming. Holling feels the need to plant something until he gets some startling news. The town receives a letter and video from Mike.
- Joel throws a dinner party for his friends. A guy commits suicide and blames Chris for a song he heard. Shelley takes off for Canada.
- An old tree near Cicely seems to be on its last legs and the locals enlist Joel to make a diagnosis.
