- Patrick Hilgersen is arrested in a moor area by Lubeck speed control officer Mattis Schulz, who was in a hurry to join his high-pregnant wife, for utter drunken misbehavior. Patrick is found dead in the police cell, cause unclear, without alcohol in his blood, autopsy shows an inconspicuous but fatal skull fracture. Prosecutor Dr. Carsten Dane wants Schulz formally charged, unless the team finds the real culprit within hours. They look into Matti's row with brother and gym partner Ralph.
- The cool kids make fun in class of shy Paul Baumann when he presents his unusual pet as a harmless python, an heirloom form his father. When he brings it in for a checkup, Dr. Philip Hansen finds it's alas its lethal lookalike, the green mamba, but fearing to have it confiscated, the boy sneaks out, bumps into Jonas and so the serpent escapes. Mayor Vinzenz Grieshaber mobilizes the fire department, whose only major contribution proves the truck.

Beig his age, Bertie is pressed by the kids to trap him into revealing the secret location of the illegal arena by pretending he trained the Hansen dog pretzel, a cute pooch, and wants to fight with him. Grumpy farmer Bischek, the vet practice's worst debtor, would rather delay therapy then pay up, but seeing Annette restores an old cuckoo clock, offers another deal: paying in antique kind, unaware his clock was his father's secret hiding lace for valuable old coins, found when the playing brats drop the clock.
